Hello Lovely People!!
I hope you all are fine. Right now we all are stuck in our homes because of this pandemic. Well, in some countries, lockdowns have been lifted but still one should not carelessly run out of their houses as Corona is still there.
Today I want to talk about how important is sunbathing and share my little personal experience. As we all are stuck inside our homes, we are clearly not getting any sunlight on our bodies and that's a BIG mistake we are committing there. If you are sunbathing sometimes then that's good, and if you are clearly not then you should from now on.
I always run away from sunlight like it's my enemy. Partly because my skin becomes really red and gets itchy maybe because I'm allergic or because my skin is fairer, aside this I just avoid sunlight like I'm some vampire who's gonna die in Sunlight's contact and HONESTLY that was my very big mistake. Sunlight is a very source of Vitamin D, others are Fish oils, Egg yolks, beef etc. I'm Non-Vegetarian but i hate fish because of it's smell not because of taste so I don't eat fish. And also while eating egg, i always take out the yolks and give it to my lil bro or mom because I don't particularly like it. With that, there's literally nothing that i consume is rich in Vitamin D, except some vegetables that I also don't eat much. With that said, you can clearly imagine what I'm pointing on, Yes, I literally consume no Vitamin D. I was not aware of what I was doing. It's been 5-6 years that I'm getting leg pains. I'm pretty energetic one but I don't do anything that could get me leg pain. I get leg pains occasionally not regularly but when it hurts, it hurts like a mf hell! For these years me and my family thought that it's nothing serious and that I'm probably weak. My mom even thought that I get leg pain because I got into a car accident 3 years ago but I had leg pains even before that. And finally Mom and Dad decided that I should get my leg checked thoroughly.
And thus, we went to hospital a week ago to see a Orthopedic specialist. The doctor told me to lay on the hospital bed and moved my leg here and there asking me if it hurts but nope..I felt no pain. Then the doctor wrote down some tests, including bloodtests that included test for Creatinine, uric acid, vitamin D, Haemoglobin and a hips and full leg x-ray. After we got the test reports, we went to the doctor and the doctor literally gasped when he saw my test report of Vitamin D. My Vitamin D level was 6. The doctor told me that vitamin D level should be at-least 30 to be normal, so in conclusion, the vitamin D in my body was non-existent. Therefore I was having leg pains that hurted like hell because of my so low vitamin D in my body. The doctor prescribed emergency Vitamin D injection that i took that day immediately after the consulting session. So far in this week, I haven't got the leg pain yet.
Thus, I realised how important is talking sunlight. I'll try not be a vampire from now on and use sunscreen and sunbathe even for few minutes. I googled about the consequences of low Vitamin D and hell do I regret being a vampire wannabe. No wonder I did't grew tall during puberty even tho my family is tall af. I'm still short lol. Please do tell me how can I grow tall even a few centimetres if you know.
So the consequences of having low Vitamin D that I found from Google are: 1. Low bone density 2. Cardiovascular diseases 3. Cancer
4. Severe asthma in children 5. Diabetes etcβ¦
Thus I suggest you to not be like me and do take Vitamin D in your body.
