The Right To Education

The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.  - Abraham Lincoln

We as humans don't get to decide in which family we are born, we may be born poor or rich, in a developed country or not but we get to choose each day how we want to replicate the same, how we want our societies to be. To make the society that we live in a better place we need to work for the same cause where we look around and find no traces of discrimination because according to my opinion it's we as a society who promotes any such instances.

The Right to Education is a reasonable primary motive where the government is making every possible effort to withdraw any kind of discrimination and provide standard education.

Right to Education Act was implemented by the Indian Government on the 4th of August 2009, to make quality education accessible to all. The majority of children in India were deprived of education facilities thus this initiative by the government mainly focused on removing illiteracy in the country. Now in the construction of a developing nation like India, education serves as one of the major pillars. Down the line, the vision that we hold serves that each child of our country is provided with a decent education and hence could have a quality life. According to my opinion, the act is not extensively successful but we would achieve that sooner or later. Just like food, clothes and shelter education and healthcare is fundamental and should be accessible to all despite their income or designation. The population of India stands at 1.35 billion out of which 68.84% lies in a rural area, this initiative commenced by the government predominantly looks out for the rural area and promises for basic education. The right watches out for all the educational needs right from uniform to stationery to co-curricular activities. It promotes no discrimination or harassment in any cases. It is also assisted in the provision for special cases and quality as well as quantity of teachers.

To build a full-fledged education system this marks as the first brick to it. Every great initiative starts with a single step. It's been a decade since the initiative and its gaining power each day, there are some loopholes to be taken care of like- The government should also look into the pre-schooling aspect of the same and focus more on the quality of the education rather than the infrastructure.

Each one belonging to the rural as well as the urban sector needs to get the minimum privilege of holding an appropriate education. It's a human right and no one should be deprived of it. Slowly but steadily each step that we as individuals take could make the nation better and make a society where all the resources are available to each one.
