What Is Intermittent Fasting ?

This is a very trending tool to do weight loss. Intermittent fasting is basically an eating pattern which does not emphasize much on what you eat but focuses on when you eat.

There are different models for following this diet pattern

  1. One is having fast for 14-16 hours and eating in a specific window of 6 -8 hours in day time. It is suggested by many dietitian and  gym instructors that one should eat dinner by 7 p.m or at least by 8.00 p.m. It's common in every fasting module for diet. The main rule of this tool is skipping breakfast and having the first meal by 12. It's difficult for those who wake up hungry , I am one of them while there are many people I know who instinctively skip breakfast and directly do meals at noon. So your diet schedule will be 12 p.m lunch, 4 p.m healthy snacks and 7 pm dinner. That's it. Fasting for longer time helps to burn body fat.At night body struggles to digest calories so its good if you don't have meal exactly before sleeping.If u follow this schedule for fairly long tenure it gives great results
  2. The 5:2 diet : As the number suggests in the title this method allows you to have a normal diet for 5 days and only 2 day fasting with consumption of 500 calories only.and it should not be two consecutive days. make schedule like fasting on Thursday and Monday or Tuesday and Friday
  3. The other way is a little strict. By fasting from dinner one day to dinner the next day, this amounts to a full 24-hour fast.

               For example, if you finish dinner at 7 p.m. Monday and don’t eat until dinner at 7 p.m. the next day, you’ve completed a full 24-hour fast. You can also fast from breakfast to breakfast or lunch to lunch — the end result is the same. .

you can have sugar free juice or coffee or water but no solid food

4). Alternate day fasting : You fast every next day. you can either choose 24 hours fasting or one time meal with limited calories maximum 500 per day 

5) warrior diet: You eat every day one meal in the afternoon and eat low calorie food or fruits only till then. Let's say you take a meal at 4 O' clock everyday and eat fruits for breakfast . once you take meal then no food till morning

6) The last one is easy and anyone can easily follow is ‘spontaneous meal skipping’ . You can skip one meal randomly twice or thrice in a week. you can skip breakfast or dinner any three day of your choice but not consecutively.

Intermittent fasting is a good way for weight loss because you don't have to follow strict diet plans and eat salads or diet food which you don't like. The Rules are simple. If you are trying to do weight loss there is no way u keep eating junk food and expect results but in intermittent you can have good amount of  healthy meals 

Fasting for a long time makes you weak is a myth. People say the body needs little food from time to time. That's not true. Human body can fast way longer than you think. It's capacity is enough to survive famines. So stop pity on yourself and follow rules. Stays fit stay healthy
