Myths And Superstitions: Stop Believing, Start Understanding

Not a new concern, but we have believed in myths for a long time with no actual reason. However, there might be some logic behind them. Are they the same explained to us, or are they entirely different, or can there be a third scenario where there is no actual reason? The problem is people are still reluctant to talk about it and understand, which is quite essential.

So, here are some superstitions that make no to little sense, but we still follow them.

1.Do not cut your nails at night, or else evil will follow.

Well no idea about evil, but of course, earlier, when there was no proper electricity, cutting nails at night can hurt you, so it was good to avoid, but why now?

2. Good or bad will happen when your eye twitches.

Right eye twitches are considered good, but left eye twitches are bad. Both are bad because of some allergy, stress, tiredness, or anything, nothing evil or good about it.

3. If a black cat crosses your path, then your tasks get delayed or postponed.

Why not? If you wait for someone else to pass before you go across the same road, you are sure to have the time-lapse and delay.

4. An itchy left palm means money is coming to you.

Wow! If that's true, just wait for that itch to start. But it can be a sign of dry skin, skin allergy, or any other medical reason.

5. Ghosts will haunt you if you sleep under a Peepal tree at night.

Even if they are real, Ghosts do not live on only peepal trees; they have so many options. The truth is at night, trees release excess CO2, which is harmful to you.

6. Do not use swing at night, or a bird will die.

Really! How? In the past, swings were attached to trees, and since birds are in their nest or on branches during the dark, using swings can make them fall and die. Swings loaded on iron roads are entirely safe.

7. If a crow shit on you, it's lucky.

Hard to believe, right. But if this is true, the crow is the best pet for you. Just ask him to shit on you before you go for an interview, exam, or anything suspicious, and you will get it.

8. Do not pass over the legs of others, or else they will remain small.

Ok, that's nice to know why my height is not increasing at this age. Or scientifically, your height seize to increase after a particular age. You decide.

9. Do not call back when someone is on the way out.

Calling from the back is not considered good as it will create hurdles in completing the task. Maybe or maybe not, but it will surely irritate the person.

10. Washing hairs on Tuesday or Thursday is unlucky.

Still finding the reason for this. Until then, you are good to wash your hair on any day you wish.

11. Walking under the ladder is unlucky.

Yes, that's true. It is not unlucky but dangerous as it can hurt you.

12. Sweeping after sunset is terrible luck.

It is believed that if you sweep after sunset, wealth will walk out of house. The fact is, if you sweep in the dark, you may throw away something valuable.

13. Number 13 is unlucky.

This one is most believed, but an explanation is still unknown.

The list goes on.

Though some facts are good to follow when linked to scientific reasons, it is essential to stop believing old theories and build new ones.
