Hello guys,

Hope you all are doing good. I'm back with my second blogg and a happy news that my first blog has been published by candlemonk . A big thank you. I'm started loving candlemonk.

Today I'm gonna write about yawning. And going to reveal a fact that why yawning is contagious. Hope you all will like it.

There are plenty of mysteries about the human body and yawning is no exception. Even thinking about yawning can cause you to do it .

Yawning is very common in classrooms . There won't be anyone who didn't yawn in class .And an interesting thing is when you yawn suddenly your friend sitting near may also start yawning. I experienced it a lot of time . Yawning is more common during the boring classes and also calsses at the afternoon. Do you know why yawning is contagious?

Yawning is involuntarily opening the mouth and taking a long , deep breath of air. This is most often done when you are tired or sleepy and it is a sign of boredom.

And now coming to the interesting thing. Ever wondered why yawning is contagious?

According to researchers empathy is the most likely reason. There is a positive link between empathy and the susceptibility to contagious yawning. Subjects who yawned in response to observing others yawn exhibited higher empathy values by half a standard deviation.

While yawning your eyes may fill with water. That is because, when you yawn your facial muscles tighten up and your eyes get all scrunched up causing any excess water to spill out.

Some people can't stop yawning. Thermoregulatory disorders and intense headache are the cause of excessive yawing.  This may be caused by a circulatory dysfunction. Not being able to stop yawning might be your body's way of showing that your circulatory system isn't working or that your body can't regulate this body temperature.

When we are bored or tired we just don't breathe as deeply as we usually do. As this theory goes ,our body take in less oxygen because our breathing has slowed. Therefore yawning helps us bring more oxygen in to the blood and move more carbon dioxide out of the blood.

So when you want to yawn , don't control it , because your body needs it. So never ashamed of it.

Thank you for reading.

Have a great day.
