Today I will discuss some points arising in the minds of us humans when we have traversed the million years and arrived at the start of the 21st century. Here we sometimes get stuck up thinking that should the evolution process continue smoothly and the soil we tread on will give us the same harvest years to come or the evolution and the potency of valuable soil stand a brake in the path of civilization and create a doomsday sometimes to come.
The soil on earth surface is continuously losing microbes 🦠 valuable to keep it fertile. It's capacity for holding organisms that in turn helps it fit for bumper harvesting is reduced due to chemicals, carbon dioxide in the air 💨 , acid rains like "el Nino"; extreme heating, and artificial urea and manure continuously applied to the topsoil.
The methods we apply to keep us moving forward, we will give a glance at once. When all the life mainly humans 🚶 die, we either go to cremation or burial in a closed coffin ⚰️. We never allow our body to decompose in open in the soil, because it would spread a lot of filth and accumulate a huge number of rotten bacteria and germs in the atmosphere, which may in turn spread sickness. But here the soil looses a great turn of deprivation from gaining a huge number of organisms and microbes that could have been gathered while the decomposition of the carcass is allowed in the open.
Now let us hope that the emitted gases, some volatile matter, and some vapours and the ultimate little ashes gathered from the cremation of a body, by some way when consumed or taken by other living bodies on final excretion help in creating a usefully fertile soil. But that too is a very subtlety. On the other hand, when a body in closed wooden coffin is kept for some years, without it's contact with the surrounding soil it decomposes into the soil by the salt and charcoal, but never mixes with the soil outside the coffin. Here too the surrounding soil is never able to gain the amount of organic matter that comes off in decomposition. Even many pets people care for are also buried or cremated likewise.
Human excreta is never kept in the open. The process is, to accumulate all excreta in a chamber where a special worm decomposes it into black soil, which after 7 to 8 months is again recollected and dumped in some waste site far from society. Somewhere sometimes in villages pit system of sanitation is also introduced and practiced nowadays. But this gives a surrounding of some filthy air. Because persons go and excrete in the pit, fill it with soil and sand and again some other person uses it till the pit is full. Then covering it with soil, it is kept; and some other pit is brought into use. The surrounding place gives a bit filthy odor. But this is practiced in some Indian villages. Here we may expect that the soil in a few years give a very fertile harvesting ground, but this is rare.
When molten lava comes out it brings rich soil but at first it destroys the vegetation and after a very long time it gives rise to a fertile soil. But this too is rare.
If our evolution cycle moves we should not stand at a point where the cycle stops ✋. That is we find life in jeopardy. But as per all experts and our beloved Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev if we do not act immediately and save our soil in 50 to 80 years time our civilization will stand at a point when reviving the soil will be 200 years job and harvest will be in jeopardy.
When life has traversed these million years and each year by year we headed for betterment, let us hope the best that any way we advance these centuries keeping the benevolence a prior option some way will automatically come out so that evolution and life goes on side by side and no hindrance in the life cycle ever occur, Amen.
