Hi friends 🙂, welcome back to my new blog. Today I'm going to share about something very important for our life .
Friends , Are you thinking 🤔 lot , Are you a overthinking person , then this topic is only for you……… And now let we start with a small story…. please read till end….sure you will have some changes in your mind….🙂
Once there lived a man in village who was struggled with his habit of not able to forget old bad memories. He use to keep thinking on same thing again and again. If anything happens or someone said anything he would just keep on thinking it. The same thing will be rolling in his mind the whole day.
So that he would curse himself or god for his bad luck or some things which happened to his life. He thinks to take revenge on someone who spoke bad about him. Because of his overthinking habit neither he don't got any good relations with people nor he don't know any work well.He was in stress or mental conditions.
Seeing at this one of his friend adviced him to visit one Zen master who lived in Buddhist monastery. And he said that sure he would get some solution for his problem.
The young man visits the Zen master and said about all his problem. After hearing it Zen master got up and went inside the monastery. The man felt bit strange but he waited for master. After a while Zen master came with glass of water .
The Zen master holds the glass of water and straightened his arm and asked the young man ,
Tell me how much this glass weight ? The young man said I cannot tell exactly but the weight of the glass is very little.
Zen master said alright ,and asked that, now what will happen if I hold this glass of water for one minute? The young man said nothing will happen.
The Zen master said alright , now what will happen if I hold this glass of water for an hour? The man said mater your hand and arm will get to start ache.
Again the Zen master said ok and asked, what will happen if I holds this glass of water for full day. The young man said master your arm could go numb, you must have severe muscle stress and paralysis and you might have to go to hospital.
Zen master said Great , but whether the weight of the glass change meantime? Man said , no weight did not change. Then why there was pain in hands and muscle. The man kept quiet. And again master asked, What should I do now to get rid of this pain ?
The young man said “master it is very simple ,just put the glass down”.
Zen master said “exactly that's what I want to hear”.
Then he put down his glass and said ,my son life's struggles are just like this ,people pays too much attention to life's problems. If you keep it in your mind for a while and then leave it , you will feel that everything is fine.
If you think about it for a more then a while then you will start to suffer. And if you keep think about it all the day then it will start to torture you. And then you will be full of anxiety , stress and depression and you won't be concentrate on anything else.
If we see in our lives we go through many struggles. But it does not meant that we keep thinking about it all the time. Rather it is important to learn from your past mistakes and move forward in your life.
If you keep on holding to the same thing just like the glass of water. It will only cause only pain in your life.
So friends , it is important to remember to let go of your stresses and worries. No matter what happens during the day as early in the evening as you can put all your burdens down.
Don't carry them through the night and into the next day with you. If you feel the weight of yesterday's stress then it is the strong sign that it's time to put the glass down.
