Hello fellow bloggers! How are you?. Hope you are doing well:) Back after a while due to exams and stuff..anyway will be active from today.
We all have good days and bad days. Bad days will worsen our mood and make us feel irritated. But always remember it's just a bad day, not a bad life.
Here are some effective ways to boost your mood whenever you are feeling down.
1. MUSIC
We all have our favorite kind of music so whenever you are feeling low; plug in your headphones and listen to some calming or uplifting songs. Make sure to hear some good music that motivates you to not give up and to keep fighting. Music is an escape from this cruel world. It will help you regain your spirit. 2. SLEEP
Believe me, sleeping helps. 80% of our mood swings are either because of lack of sleep or nutrition. Whenever you are feeling like you are fed up..just lay in your bed and remember the good times..it might be hard..but at least you can try. If you want to cry, just cry your heart out. Forcing all your emotions inside will only hurt you in the long run. Remember, you do not always want someone to wipe your tears and give you a shoulder to cry. Be your own therapist. Cry as much as you want and sleep for a while. It will refresh your soul, body, and mind.
3. COMFORT MOVIES/SERIES
Same as the case of music, we all have our own comfort movies or series that help you relax and you know…just chill. So when you are feeling low, don't feel guilty to spent time watching your favorite movie or series whether it be FRIENDS, anime, games, or your favorite k-drama.
4. SPENT TIME IN NATURE
Even though this tip may sound repetitive, believe me spending time in nature or under the sun will have a profound difference on your body. Since every mood and feeling we have are due to hormones, spending some time under the sun or in nature has scientifically proved to boost your mood. It relaxes your eye muscles which are tired due to constant radiation from screens. When you had a long day, go for a small walk or cycling or you can even tend to your garden. IT'S ALWAYS THE SMALL THINGS THAT MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!
5. COMFORT FOOD
Don't we all have comfort foods to rely on when we are feeling angry or sad? Well, such foods can surely boost your mood from 5% to 500%. So don't let anyone make you feel guilty to indulge in having some of your favorite delicacies when you are feeling like the whole world is against you. Personally, my comfort food is chocolates and pizzas. I have them when I am feeling low or after completing a stressful event like exams. lol
6. PLAY WITH YOUR PETS
When you have days where you want the world to end, go home and play with your pets. They will surely make you regret your thought. Ever since the pandemic has happened, pets have saved many of our lives from loneliness or even depression. They have always loved you unconditionally. So on days like that, take some time to play with your pets and talk to them about your problems. Well, even though we can't understand what they say back, we will surely get some consoling and cozy hugs and kisses:)
Being an army, most of the time when I am feeling low, I watch “Try Not To Laugh BTS Videos” on youtube, RUN BTS, In the Soop or BON VOYAGE and end up laughing. If you know..you know! The smiling faces of someone you love can give you comfort even during the most difficult times.
