Hello guyss! So two months before i got an oppurtunity to visit CRPF( Central Reserve Polive Force) located in Avadi, Chennai for a 2 day camp from my college , to know about various forces in India and what are they process and their struggles.
On the first day of the camp ,we reached there around 10 am and after settled in a camping place , we have been given introduction on how CRPF works and how they have started by thiru Dinakaren D.G.I.P
You know,The Central Reserve Police Force came into existence as Crown Representative’s Police on 27th July 1939. It became the Central Reserve Police Force on enactment of the CRPF Act on 28th December 1949.
DUTIES PERFORMED BY CRPF
1.Crowd control
2.Riot control
3.Counter Millitancy / Insurgency operations.
4.Dealing with Left Wing Extremism
5.Overall co-ordination of large scale security arrangement specially with regard to elections in disturbed areas.
6.Protection of VIPs and vital installations.
7.Checking environmental de-gradation and protection of local Flora and Fauna
8.Fighting aggression during War time
9.Participating in UN Peace Keeping Mission
10.Rescue and Relief operations at the time of Natural Calamities.
Later we got the oppurtunity to see the drills done my our militry people as their training before combat.each and every training drills may look simple but it may not be so much easy with carrying 5 to 10 kg weighted gun at the back but these courageous people made those drills in at ease, which is really astonishing.
After that we had chance to see those various types of militry equipments from grenade to Rifles used during combat.we got to know about the distance at it strikes,their range etc.after viewing all that I got an oppurtunity to speak to the head of the military camp, he mentioned about the recuritment process here and over 500 person likely to attend exams for joining the force everytime the selection process starts, he said that “ youngsters nowadays are becoming open minded and they are joining in the varoius forces (it could be anything- military, police ,navy , air force etc ) willinglingly”, and he was so proud about that. The more i talk to him ,i understand that ,he really love serving the country as a protective shield for the people and he even said “i wish to die on a battlefield in a combat” .
it is truly amazing how these people are so selfless and be possessive of the country.
Lot of love ❤and support for the people who indirectly protecting us ,so that we could have a normal life within the safety bonds.
