When you try not to think about something, that is when you think about it more and I think it is much harder and difficult when it is not a thing but a person. And I think it is the worst when you have to keep seeing that person's name pop up in the group text or when you have to watch them interacting with people you care about, people you call friends. And it is obvious that you shouldn't expect your friends to choose between your and their sides, also there is that deep ingrained fear in the pit of your stomach that thinks that they might just choose them over you. May be, you never know. And I think that should be okay. That's their choice.
May be no one knows what you are going through or may be things have changed. Sometimes you are just a side character in someone's main plot and really, that is okay. You cannot expect there to be no character development and no maturity and no growth. No one stays the same like YOU, you are not the same person that you were.
People grow and may be they are just strong or then you are, or have ever been. May be they could have handled it much better than you did. Or may be they have more important things or people in life to care about then what you are feeling right now, which makes sense, really.
But life is enough of a competition to not allow yourself same leeway. It is funny how strongly you can feel when feeling is either love or hate. There might even be the strongest feeling out there, and just like love makes you do stupid things, may be hate should be allowed to do the same?
And before you say anything remember that things you do in love or people you are in love with, are not always good and made for you. So why hate for at least being true to itself?
