How can we understand what we are? Do we know that all that we do is the work of an extraordinary machine?

We know very little about how we are able to be conscious of our actions. Even though we are usually not very aware of it, this group of organs that is the human body - an integrated system that includes the brain, heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, muscles, bones, skin and endocrine glands - act together in harmony. It is interesting that various mechanisms work together to keep the temperature of the body at 37°C; thanks to the dynamic structure of bones and cartilage, to provide support to human body. 

The body also has a amazing ability to transform the food it takes into living tissues which contributes to growth and development of body. By this same process, we obtain the energy for working. It is hard to imagine that not long ago, cells of our body were autonomous and duplicating freely within the walls of a mother's uterus. Each cell carried within it the information necessary for our growth and development. Everything that happens inside our body is truly tremendous.

The heart, usually thought of as wellspring of love and emotions, is in real the engine of the circulatory system. It is because of the heart that all the cells of the body receive a constant supply of nutrients, oxygen and other important substances.

The nervous system is the most intricate among the all body's systems. It works every second of everyday, collecting information about the organism and its surroundings and give instructions so that the organism can react effectively. It is like computer that permits us to think & remember and that makes us who we are.

Today's camera are designed on the basic principles as human eye, but they have never been able to equal the visual power of the eye. The focus and automatic aperture of the human eye are perfect. Our ears show similar complexity and allow us to have perfect hearing.

The external ear operates by receiving sound waves in the air which travel through the auditory canal and then transmitted by the bones of the intermediate ear.

Our skin, the largest organ of the body, serves as an elastic barrier cover to protect everything inside human body.

This it is relevant to conclude that our extraordinary body system is very captivating and amazing! Isn't it?
