Most of the time you have probably affirmed yourself without even realising it by telling yourself things like “yes, you can do it”, “you are strong enough”, “I believe in myself”, “everything is fine” etc etc. These simple statements may seems nothing but, these can help you shift your focus away from perceived failures and direct your focus towards strengths those you already have as well as those you want to develop.

I think affirmations work as a tool for shifting your mindset and achieving your goals. But they aren't work like magic for your instant success or healing but can take a lot time and patience. These daily sayings can help you overcome doubts and fears about yourself. It can help you face the world with self belief as well as your strengths and abilities.

Positive affirmations are as easy to define as they are to practice. It's quite simple to practice, all you need is to do pick a positive phrase about yourself and repeat it with all the focus but it require regular practice though, if you want to make lasting and long term changes.

How it actually work for you?

  • Positive informations are phrases that you either say aloud or in your head, to affirm yourself and cheer yourself up in between the difficult and harsh conditions. They help you to overcome negative thoughts that can sometime take over your mind and body.
  • Regular repetition of affirming statements about yourself can encourage your brain to take those positive affirmations as orders and later on, when you start believing that you can do something, your actions often follow the same.
  • It's your brain's ability to change and adapt to different situations throughout the life which help you understand not only what make affirmations work, but how to make them effective.
  • Focus on things about yourself that you value. It'll motivate you, encourage positive changes in your life and boost up your self esteem.

Repeating the affirmations can help you boost your motivation and self confidence, but you still have to take some action by yourself. You need to try thinking of affirmations as a step toward the change, not the change itself. Positive affirmations can help you get through stressful moments until you can politely escape. Actually affirmations didn't make the change but you did, it just offer a starting point but it's you who did it!

What are you waiting for? Start practicing today and I bet, you'll definitely get some benefits.
