I bid heartful namaskar to everybody out there. I know this might sound a little strange and out of the league topic but i wanted to share my first solo trip which was to Tirupati. We all have got to start somewhere right? So why not a spiritual place like Tirupati.
I clearly don't belong to neither atheist nor a theist but i do believe there is a higher power above us. And everybody is free to express their opinions on this subject. When i was doing my post graduation there came a time where i was on an adrenaline rush and wanted to travel the world and what not. I was enthusiast for a period of time and i made crazy travel plans and used to invite my friends to every plan to be a part of it. Bu at that point of time somehow i had this unquenched thirst of attending a temple. I had not visited Tirupati before so decided to visit the place. I planned meticulously and also it was budget friendly. Now we have to book ticket online on the website tiupatibalaji.ap.gov.in. It provides a special entry darshan ticket for 300 and we can select the time slot based on our convenience. But beware it sells out like hotcakes, we have to be alert and be well advanced in booking. I also booked a hotel room in Tirupati(the town part) and i left my luggage there from there i took a bus which was very cheap and you can buy for both up and return travel. And also the hotel which i booked was very near to the bus stop so i just walked and it was very feasible. And the main thing is phones are not allowed inside the temple premises so kindly leave it in your vehicle or hotel rooms or we can deposit it in the lockers available outside the temple. I entered with my special darshan ticket for which there is a separate entrance. I followed the crowd and people were very friendly and assisted me when i needed directions. Finally after waiting for half an hour i entered the garbagudi as there was not much crowd. That moment when i entered and saw the god's statue i was awestruck and this divine feeling in me just aroused and was speechless for a moment. The serene view of the god could only bring me much joy and peace. At that moment i realized that i made a good decision of visiting this place even alone. There was food(prasadam) also which was decent. Within 2 hours everything was over and i came out happily and it was a wonderful experience. My advice to everybody out there is explore the world and collect memories.
