A very good news to all the K Drama fans and also the other audience, I will be now reviewing some famous K Drama’s so that it is convenient for others to view it if you still haven’t viewed it. Seeing that Korean Drama's are now in vogue, i decided that it would be best to share my review about some of the Drama's that i have watched. It is also important to note that most of the Drama are only 16 episodes long so it not much of a hassle to watch them.
“The Tale of Nine Tailed” is a popular Korean Drama series that aired in the year 2020. The drama’s lead actor being one of Korea’s popular actor Lee Dong Wook has made this drama a hit also not to forget his amazing acting skills. Lee Dong Wook is the star who steals all the limelight of the show.
The plot of the story starts with Lee Yeon (Lee Dong Wook) a 1000 year old Fox who can take the shape of a human. Lee Yeon was once a Mountain God but now is a fellow city dweller. The story is taken back to time when Lee Yeon was once the Mountain God and was worshiped by all but then he makes a mistake, the mistake of falling in love with a human, naturally an immortal God cannot fall for a mortal human being so when the love of his life dies, he abuses his powers and he revolts against the God’s of death and gives up his position as the Mountain God to make sure that the girl is reborn again, so that when she is reincarnated they can complete their love story that was abruptly ended. So all this years Lee Yeon is waiting for the girl to be reincarnated.
In comes the character of Nam Ji-Ah that is played by the actress Jo Bo-ah. Ji-Ah works as a producer at a TV Station and is a researcher for the Urban Myths. As fates are destined, Ji-Ah is the same girl that is reincarnated for Lee Yeon. However they both meet on a bad note and Ji-Ah is unaware of the past that she was a part of. Ji-Ah is however certain that Lee Yeon is not an ordinary human, to prove her intuition correct, she jumps from an insanely tall building believing that Lee Yeon will save her, as expected, the nine tailed fox too jumps and saves her with his supernatural powers. To discover the real truth of her previous life, Ji-Ah sets on a journey to find the truth.The truth being that Ji-Ah was a princess in her previous birth and was soulfully loved by Lee Yeon .The villain in the story is the Imugi, an evil earth dragon. The Imugi wants to possess the body of the Mountain God but fails to do so, so in order to hurt the Mountain God, the Imugi takes over Ji-Ah’s body, killing her in the process. In the present times as Lee Yeon finds his true love in Ji Ah, the Imugi too resurfaces again. The events that took place in the past are seemed to be repeating again. The Imugi once again possess Ji-Ah’s body, Lee Yeon is left with no choice but to kill her, will he be able to let the love of his life die again? Will he be able to fight the Imugi.
This drama is one of my favorites and i would certainly watch it all over again. With Lee Dong Wook making any girl’s heart melt with his looks , his acting skills touch the sky. He truly is an exceptional actor. However as a viewer i felt that in the middle of the drama that is approximately at episode 11 and 12, the flow of the story was quiet slow but it makes up for that in the conclusional episode. Overall this drama is a blast and i would certainly recommend this to the audience. This drama is available on Netflix and Viki too.
