Hello guys,

I am kukku and this is my first blog. Hope you all support me and please correct my mistakes. So today I would like to tell about the poem called Poetry by Pablo Neruda. We had this poem as lesson this year.It really catched my eyes. I would say that this is the lesson I loved the most of all the lessons that I had for studying. The lines of the poem floats like water, it's really melting. “It was at that age poetry arrived in search of me” This is how the poem starts. The Poet is telling us how he started to write poems. So before moving on to the lines let me introduce the poet.

The poem ‘Poetry’ is written by Ricardo Eliècer Neftali Reyes Basoalto who is better known by his pen name Pablo Neruda. He was born in 12 july 1904. He was a chilean poet-diplomat and also a politician who won the Nobel prize in Literature in 1971.He became a poet when he was 13 years old. He died on 23 September 1973. This is a beautiful poem written by him.I think he wrote this poem to tell his experience of how he started to write poems.

The lines are simple like a peaceful flowing river. Poem is the inner evolution of the poet in making. In this poem he tells us his experience of being embraced by the creativity with all zeal and enthusiasm. In the poem he tells that, the ever first lines were faint and pure nonsense but the pure wisdom of a person who knows nothing. Something started in his soul like a fire and he followed that fire of creativity allowing it to fully defeat him. He discovered his creativity. He saw the planets and the palpitating plantations. The heavens unfastened before him. He was drunk with the stars and he wheeled with the stars in the night.

His lines really attacked my heart. I find this poem really attractive. It is very simple in view but there is a lot of meaning in it. I don't know but this poem really touched my soul. There us rhyming scheme in it. He used poetic devices like personification ‘poetry arrived’ and alliteration ‘palpitating plantations’ . I would like to recommend this poem to you all. Do tell me your reviews and please correct my mistakes.

Thank you all.                                       Have a nice day.          By Kukkz
