Life During Covid-19 (Virus) Pandemic

As we can see that life is coming to normal after a year and a half of chaos,It certainly feels that life is coming back on track. The one and a half year that went behind us wasn't that memorable for most of us.Mostly because a lot of people lost their means of livelihood.People lost their jobs, many people lost their loved ones, most people went through a lot of mental health issues. The rate of suicide cases increased in greater numbers during Covid-19.People were terrified staying at home, there were many cases of domestic violence, divorce and there were many childbirths as well.

To be honest life was at a stand still. Many people were confused about what next shall they do in life, after sudden lockdown restrictions which were imposed on us for our safety. Many people learned cooking during lockdown, some people passed their time by watching movies or reading books or by playing board games.Though many people suffered because of lockdown, vegetable vendors, labourers, sweepers, maidservants, etc. And not just them people who were working 9 to 5 also suffered a lot.Few people slipped into depression due to loneliness and being upset about having no further plans about what to do in future.

What made me sad was the number of deaths which took place each day.It was as if those people were fighting a battle but couldn't make it till the end. After watching news everyday I started getting depressed about the situation we were in.We all were stuck in our homes irrespective of who we were with. Some enjoyed with their families and others didn't really have that opportunity. The desperation of going out and the frustration of not being able to do anything made people more aggressive. The divorce rate increased because people realised after being together with each other during lockdown that their relationships were under turmoil and there was not really much to do about it.

There were many childbirths which took place in this one year an a half period.A lot of people made online friends or found their lovers through dating apps.Everything became online because of this pandemic. It was hard for some people to adjust to this but a lot of people survived this phase with flying colours. People who couldn't afford laptops or mobile phones faced a lot of issues in attending online lectures. The government also provided them with lectures through television. The government also re-telecasted Ramayan so that people could get some hope and happiness through watching this series.Life took a 360 degree turn for most of us but fortunately we all survived through this dark phase of our life.

Earlier this year, vaccination procedures had started. And thanks to this we all are able to resume our normal lives again. The second wave was not more tough than last year because we were used to this atmosphere and it became a habit for all of us to stay at home.Fortunately our lives are getting back on track and I pray this remains the same.

How did your life change during the pandemic, don't forget to mention in the comments section. Thanks for reading my blog….
