I'm not going to talk about Movies; Because , I don't know when to stop.

The Little Knowledge I have right now with Me, is learned Mostly from the movies (Including English ,That will answer most of your questions :) )

Long story short, Like Most of us, we too have That age old Tv which only works with a slap ,but not with remote ; 

Till My 9th standard there is no way to watch English movies on Tv. 

By then, I'm Already a movie buff(but in local movies) and very interested to watch any kind of movie on Tv.

Finally one day we Got a new channel list along with Star Movies.

The First movie I watched in star movies is Predator, an absolute delight for the movie buff inside me, But I failed to understand the most of it, even with subtitles.

Then the next day they re telecast the same and I wrote down the words i can grasp with my eye and asked my teachers for meaning.

The Movies paid me back for the loyalty I Showed ,when I was fighting depression. The introduction of world cinema is the biggest help that god sent to me.. Trust me 

"The Movies and Music will Love you Back , If you truly love them ".

To understand the magic and love of cinema , I suggest you to watch The Movie of Martin Scorsese called  "Hugo"(2011).

Movies and Cinema :

In Simple words ; Movie is a part of Cinema . 

Cinema include many visual mediums include documentaries( just for understanding sake),animations, dramas etc. 

Again, these are just used as an examples. The real definition of cinema is deeper and complex too.

Cinema is  often used as synonym to movie in general sense, but Cinema is vast and have many forms that include thousands of making styles and ever growing Genres.

Classification of movies:

Movies can be classified into various types based on place, technology, Philosophy/Theme and Content/script.

Based on Place : 

Classification of movies based on demographics like Country, place and region. ex: Hollywood , Bollywood ,French cinema etc.

Based on Technology : 

Classification of cinema through the technology used ; Like, 3d, Imax, Black and white, animation, Motion capture etc.

Based On Philosophy/Theme :

Classifying movies based on its theme ;Theme is not same as the intention of movie, Instead it is the Intention of Maker.

If a director wants to deliver a truly artistic dish ,he generally choses an Abstract Movie  to convey it to you. 

Abstract Movie : The Purest form of Cinema we can get and equally confusing like an Abstract art. the end product often looks like a scribbling or as an unfinished movie made without any purpose.

Andrei Tarkovsky's un conventional style of making movies; some of Wes Anderson's and Stanley Kubrick's works along with Kiyoshi Kurosawa's and Takashi Miike' s beautifully twisted tales of drama and horror can be cited as best examples.

Content Based :

This is the most common way of categorize movies; also known as Genres.

Genre : It Is the intention, purpose of a movie. It allows a movie to chose its script, director, actors and In fact the Right(Target) Audience.

One cannot be a movie buff if they don't have a favorite Genre.

Genres are now became game changers of the mainstream cinema and a biggest business in the world .

Genres are also a safe haven for many directors with talent who harbored their careers over specific genre they can excel .

Recent entrants in horror genre creating the ripples and often dubbed as “greatest horror directors under making” They are :

Robert eggers : The witch(2015) , The Lighthouse(2019).

Ari Aster :  Hereditary(2018) , Midsommar (2019).
