Storyline: When his past haunts him, a retired agent from the Anti-Terrorism Squad goes back to work.
On September 5, 2024, Thalapathy Vijay's film Goat was released.Venkat Prabhu directed and Ags Entertainment produced this movie. Additionally, it starred a number of Topstars, including Prasanth, Prabhudeva, Meenakshi Chowdhary, Vaibhav, Ajmal Ameer, Jayaram, Premji Amaran, and Mic Mohan. After Thalapathy Vijay declared his intention to enter politics, this is the first movie that has been released. Thus, the excitement surrounding this movie is insane.H. Vinoth, who is renowned for his earlier films Sathuranga Vettai, Dheeran Adhigaram Ondru, and Thunivu, is going to direct his last film.
Although the core concept of this film is revenge drama, Venkat Prabhu makes it more flavourful and interesting by his racy screenplay and twists.Despite the ensemble cast, it’s Vijay who shoulders the film in dual roles as Gandhi and his son Jeevan. And Venkat, knowing his assignment well, gives ample space for both characters to have their moments. They both care for their ménage and have their fair share of losses and a mission to complete. Then comes the dichotomy, and that’s where both the filmmaker and his hero shine. As Gandhi, Vijay aces the role of a man with a lot of responsibilities that turn into a burden and end up as grief — the actor Vijay takes centre-stage in a scene where his character faces a major loss. But it’s arguably Jeevan who steals the show (and probably hence the name), and it’s a blast to see Vijay as a young adult, complete with antics we have long loved. Mic Mohan impresses in his comeback to the cinema with his villainism.Yuvan Shankar Raja's bgm worked very well in this film amidst his average songs.I wanna thank the G.O.A.T team for getting back Captain Vijaykanth on the Screen.Despite the lag in the middle, the final moments of "GOAT" or "Greatest of All Time" managed to redeem the film to some extent. The last 20 minutes, in particular, brought back the energy and drama, leaving audiences with a satisfying conclusion. So, overall if you are a fan of thalapathy Vijay, this film is like a festival to you. If you're a neutral fan or lover of cinema, you might consider this as an average film. My rating for this movie would be 8.5/10. P.s: I'm a hardcore thalapathy Vijay fan.But I tried my best to be neutral😉.
