Self-care Practices To Make You Feel Good

Hellooo to each and everyone. I hope you all are healthy, happy and taking care of yourself.

Today is a bit monotonous as it has been raining since last night and so I have been stuck inside the house. As I was sitting by the window enjoying the rain, I thought about blogging the few self-care tips that I practise and which make me feel better about myself.

Here are a few practices which you can adopt for self-care that will make you appreciate yourself and nourish you mentally and physically.

Disconnect:

Sometimes you need to take a break and disconnect from social media to connect with yourself. With more time in your hand, you will be able to find time for things that you have fun doing.

Read

According to studies, when a person starts reading, the brain sends a calming signal to your body. Reading not relaxes your body but in ways enriches your mind.

Pick up a hobby

Hobbies help us structure our time more efficiently. Having a hobby and being good at it or learning something new helps us build confidence and be creative. There is no right way to pursue a hobby, the idea is to enjoy the activity.

Relax and Rejuvenate

This one is a personal favorite and there is no harm in pampering yourself twice in a week or maybe daily. You will be surprised that a relaxing massage can do wonders for your body and mind. (Like taking a hot shower, following a night skin-care routine, including essential oils in bath etc.)

Plan a date with your friends

Sometimes just a conversation or a light hearted catch-up with our close friends can relax our souls.

Ditch the scale

As they say, the more you weigh, the harder you are to kidnap ;) Indulge in a dessert or your fav comfort food occasionally. You will not only nourish your body, but you'll be nourishing your soul as well.

Daily affirmations

These are the self care tricks that you can start your day with and eventually build it to be a habit. They can be as simple as ‘I believe in me’ or ‘ I choose me’. A little progress each day adds up to BIG results.

Declutter/Organise

Funnily enough, decluttering a physical space also helps to declutter your mind. The entire exercise creates a calming effect and releases negative emotions

Bonus tip

Stretch a little, take deep breaths and phewwww, Let go! Few things in life are out of our control and the best things we can do is accept them.

Try them and take care of your mental health. <3
