Hello everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know 2020 has been really tough for each and everyone in one way or other. So here I am to lighten the mood by sharing my side of the story whether lockdown 2020 was a boon or curse for me.
A rush of mixed emotions is experienced by almost all of us when we hear the year 2020. 2020 started off as any normal year but turned out to be the most extraordinary year which should be just declared as weird.
Each and every person has made ‘Wake up- Work- Sleep’ as their lifestyle. Being busy has indeed become trendy and people think it to be classy. Let me be honest, it is not! In this trend of becoming busy, we are compromising our heath, our interests, our love, everything!
As long as you ask me, lockdown was more like a boon for me. You all might find me weird but just listen to my side of the story.

My mom is a working woman. Even during my birth, she was on leave for only 2 months. So I never got to spend quality time with my parents. Since childhood, my mom had holiday on Friday, dad on Saturday and me on Sunday. So the only time all three of us were together would be on a vacation. I also used to get sad when my friends shared their childhood memories involving their parents. My memories only involved my grandparents and my mom's brothers n sisters because that's where I used to stay everyday when my parents went to work.
When lockdown was declared, my mom and dad were told to ‘work from home'. So all three of us were literally together all the time! Although they had to work the entire day, atleast I had them around. I had never experienced this feeling of having your mom around you whenever you call her! I was more than happy!
We watched old mythological serials on TV, dad and I played cards at night, sometimes carrom in the afternoon (when his work load was off) and mom and I tried different dishes in the kitchen. Sometimes we just went nostalgic looking at the photo albums from my childhood and mom-dad's marriage. Even my dad cooked sometimes (which he is best at!)
We had different tasks on our family whatsapp groups which added more fun!
I know the pandemic and lockdown hit really hard to some people, but for a girl like me who never had her parents around growing up for 21 years, this lockdown was the best thing happened!
I have got soo many memories which I am going to cherish for all my life!
