How To Deal With Depression Without Medication?

Depression is classified as a mood disorder, also it may be described as feelings of sadness, loss or anger that interfere with a person's everyday activities. It is seen among youths very much nowadays. People experience depression in different ways, it may interfere with your daily work resulting in lost time and lower productivity. It can also influence relationships and your health conditions can be harmed.

It is important to realize that feeling down is normal sometimes and it is part of our life. But if this is on a regular basis then you could be dealing with depression. This condition can get worse without proper treatment. The symptoms of this can be aggressiveness, feeling hopeless, thoughts of suicide, insomnia, less concentration etc. But this can be cured by taking proper steps in your routine without using medicines also. We will talk about the ways to cure depression.

Ways to cure Depression without Medication:

1.Get more sleep

A person facing depression should keep his/her bedtimes consistent. The sleeping time and wake-up time should be set same for all the days. Poor sleep contribute in depression so proper routine of bedtime should be maintained. If you are not able to sleep then try reading a book and turn off your devices. This will help a lot.

2.Reduce stress

Stress is the main problem of people nowadays. Some or the other person we see are in stress and this can led to depression. Stress can be reduced by doing meditation, yoga, deep breathing and massage also. Over thinking should be avoided and try to make yourself happy by engaging yourself in different activities.

3.Exercise

Exercise can help naturally to cure depression. Keep yourself active and if you are not able to do it alone, you can help of your family member or friend. Exercises like walking, aerobic exercise, breathing exercise and jogging can help you feel better.

4.Take proper nutrition

In depression, person may feel not to eat anything but one has to take proper nutrients for fighting against it. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables in regular meals which has proper vitamins. Try avoiding junk food and eat healthy. If you don't feel like eating just eat a piece of fruit to keep you going.

5.Express yourself

Depression can cause you to forgot all your activities and creativity. But do this that you are best in, it may include drawing, painting, writing, dancing etc. Take time to play with a friend or a pet or do something fun for yourself. Watch a funny movie to keep yourself laughing and also talk about what you are feeling to others.

6.Avoid bad things in surroundings

People are mostly affected seeing the things that are going on in our neighborhood. If anything bad happens, we constantly think about it but this things should be avoided. Keep good thoughts in mind and remember your blessings in life. Be patient with yourself as depression takes time to heal. Be your own strength.

By taking all this necessary steps depression can be reduced without medication and one can save their life. If anyone in your surrounding is seen in bad state of mind, help him/her to cheer up in life and make them stay positive. Depression is a illness and not a weakness so we have to stay positive and fight this for a good living.
