What matters more? Your ‘Vote’ or ‘You’?
You may not know the power of your vote but you can imagine what that means when you see politicians without failing even in pandemic situation they are begging for your vote. What should they do at this crucial time? I observed within last 3 to 4 weeks in various parts of our country there is the need of carrying out elections, appealing rallies for votes. Hundreds and thousands of people were on roads with our so called politicians. Was it necessary? Do we still need to know what power our vote holds?
A vote matters a lot but do you matter that much to the politicians of this country who are still performing on streets even in this critical situation and fake promises are given to public. We will do this, that and what not. They are begging for your vote that is the power of your vote.
We are facing a bad situation or crash in our medical system, we are short of everything, vaccines, medicines, oxygen cylinders, injections. And our system gives the statement that India is caught unprepared, seriously? Does that mean we are a kind of joke? We had a year long time to get prepared to face any situation like this but what we have done we have not improved any thing. We are so slow in improvements that we are in the middle of this life and death situation.
I am not here to ask you not to do this or that but tell you the situation we are facing and it is very important to understand that you matter more, your vote matters to politicians but for your family ‘you’ matters. When you choose any representative you believe in them that this man or woman will help us grow. And that is what we should do, but also you must be aware of your rights and the power of unity. We have the fundamental right that we can reject the candidate when it does not fulfill the criteria of the development in our country. When he or she doesn't stand our expectation, we can reject them.
I suggest everyone should know and understand their rights and also the duties.
Make them struggle for your vote like we are struggling for bed, medicines, injections and oxygen.
Stay home! Stay safe!
Choose wisely.
Know your rights.
