'Lockdown' Or 'Time For Revival'

Again we are facing the lockdown issue, again we are locked inside our homes, again we have to start working from home, again we will face personal issues, financial issues or may be family issues. We have already gone through a lockdown in 2020 and still not have recovered from the loss we have faced at that time. And now ‘Yet another lockdown’ yes! another one. But not same as we have spent the first one. This is the crucial time when we have to support our loved ones as well as ourselves. A strong soul is always responsible for growth of others as well as themselves. Sometimes even a strong person can feel frustrated, depressed or have mixed feelings but that is okay to feel some weak emotions and that is absolutely okay. When we do not have any scope in moving out of the houses and hang out with friends or the loved ones we get to feel helpless and that feeling is common to all the people in the world where they are facing a pandemic crisis.

Let me help you people with my experience of the lockdown period and what I have done to tackle the situation at that crucial time and what I will do in this period again.

"I am a really jolly and fun loving person always happy and desperate to go for outings with friends. Now you can imagine how it feels when you can not go out and stuck at some place with parents and sibling though it's really great to live with your family after long time spending time with them and have fun time. The time passes by and I was in the hope that this lockdown will be over after 21 days as promised by our prime minister but it was extended for more than that. Now, I had started to feel anxious, felt frustrated and I was like ‘No! I cannot help myself out of this, I need to go out and do something about this feeling'. I felt frustrated, depressed, anxious and maddened. This was bad for me and my family too. I was not in the mood of talking to my family members and literally thinking of going outside but the situation was worse outside so, I had to drop the idea and stay home, safe and sound. In that time, I observed my mood swings and worked on it by myself. I started keeping myself engaged in anything like anything whatever it is. But avoided my smartphone, though it is useful but still an idiot box which makes you forget about yourself and live a reel life. Do you know your smartphone is more depressing than that of your inner self or the people you are living with? Think about it. I started to enjoy the time of lockdown when I realised that it is important to survive than to hanging out with friends outside where there is the danger of getting caught by the virus.

I keep a track on my doings and mood swings it helped me a lot in recovering from my depressing thoughts and anxiety at this time I was my only Psychiatrist. I kept on shouting on others whenever I felt frustrated, it is good to do so but it can create havoc in between you and your family members, once or twice it is okay but later no one will listen to you. Meditation helps in getting rid of most of the mental problems like anxiety, frustration, mood swings and most importantly depression. when you regularly practise yoga or any physical or mental exercise you feel better and better day by day. Though we are the land of the origin of yog sadhana and meditation we are less attracted to it. Since, it is difficult to follow good habits. But helps a lot. Try it.

Whenever I felt like exhausted mentally I always talked my Mom, everybody should talk to their loved ones. Whenever they feel like no body is there to listen to them they should try to find a way by which they can express themselves. I found that way for me it's not always good to talk to others because sometimes you can be treated miserably and can be misunderstood, since it is difficult to find the right person to share. So be the doctor to yourself nothing harms, express yourself by the means of anything singing, writing poems or about yourself, painting, poetries or engage yourself in which you feel lost whatever it may be. And I strongly believe that a man can do anything to save himself.

This, lockdown period can help you to find the talents that you have hidden from the long time. You know when it is difficult to express by words your feelings can find a way to come out by your actions. It can help you meet the new you. This time is to revive yourself, because in the last few decades we have made a long run in achieving lot of things in life. in that run we have lost the most important thing emotions, the time with our loved ones and lot more things. So, I believe this lockdown is reviving because one can explore themselves and look after themselves with care, compassion and treat their passions as the way to find themselves again. So, utilize this period and find yourself again.

       Stay home! Stay safe!

Love yourself, you need yourself more than others!

      Revive and love life!

Stay positive, this is the only way to tackle any situation in this pandemic.

Your story telling skills are great. But....only if you wrote small paragraphs, this will be super. About the blog I myself am really sad staying at home all day. Its the breathing exercises that help me stay sane😂
