Social media, one of the platform that is used by almost 89% of people in the world. It helps us to connect with others and stay in touch, we can share our personal life and also keep a check on others. We post pictures, videos , jokes, status, stories and much more. It helps us to reach our loved ones that are living far away from us. 

Social website is an emerging platform , today we can see a facebook account of five year old child - looks like he demanded phone before the milk😋😂. Whatsapp is the platform for around 75% of the good morning and good night messages. If you didn't understood my words then add one contact no of the person who is in the age group of 40-70. Facebook and instagram are getting popular because of the youth. Here we can't miss the snapchat, if we missed then where will the filter queens go?some one answered - Instagram 🤣. Jokes apart.

Now question is , “is this good or bad”? anyone using social media is growing or not? anyone who uses social media is doing wrong or right?

So , Before answering this question let us read a story first.

There were two brothers , they both used social media and didn't concentrated on their studies, Time passed away and now their father was getting old and wanted his sons to get out and get a job. One left the home and second ignored. They didn't studied so the one who left the home faced problems, he was not getting any job so he thought to open a shop, after starting his own shop he was imagining a huge success. But unfortunately he didn't earned much revenue. After that a customer advised him to take his shop online and then comes the role of social media. Today that person is owning 20 stores.

This was a short and simple story. So here we can see the two different uses of social media, one for destroying and one for growing, we can learn one more lesson but i will be telling it at the last. 

So social media has good and bad effects both, if you read my previous blogs then you may remember the "ocean". Right! ocean consists of water and mud both, similarly social media have advantages and disadvantages both which are.

Advantages:

1. Can be used to connect with the friends during any pandemic or emergency
2. Can be helpful for urgent works
3. It can be used for growing our business
4. It can be used for looking more career opportunities
5. It can be used for showing your talent
6. It can be used for earning in teenage.

Disadvantages:

1. Excess use may lead to destruction of physical and mental health
2. Depression can take place of enthusiasm if you compare your life with others
3. You can be prey of some bad people. BE CAREFUL!!
4. You may be wasting several hours on tik tok or reels/ short videos.
5. You may be getting away from your work, responsibility, ideas, family, friends, and other
6. You may be suffering from the feeling of jealousy and irritated in the case of excess usage

So we can conclude that social media have its own advantages and disadvantages, now it is up to us how we use it, what is it's end result. 

Choose wisely!

Last lesson - Remember that one son left the home despite of the fact that both were addicted, similarly, no matter where you are and how you are -  YOU CAN START TODAY AND RIGHT NOW.!
