According to Judaism, Islam and Christianity, Adam and Eve are the first human beings, and all the human beings are their descendants. As the Bible states,Adam and Eve were created by God to take care of God's creation, live on Earth, and have a relationship with God. Even their names indicate their roles. Adam comes from the Hebrew word Admar and means “person”. Eva comes from the Hebrew word and means “ life”.
Garden of Eden
Adam and Eve were the first gardeners. They lived in the Garden of Eden. The Eden Garden is a perfect place for plants to easily bear fruit, with no thorns or weeds. In Genesis 2:15-20, we see that God commanded Adam to plow the garden, groom the garden, name the animals, and eat the fruit of the garden except for the tree if knowledge of good and evil.
First Parents
Adam and Eve were the first Parents. According to Jewish tradition, Adam and Eve had 56 children.
The first people to disobey God
Adam and Eve were the first people to do something wrong. As stated in Genesis 2:16-17, God told Adam that he was free to eat from the trees in the garden, except for the tree of knowledge of good and evil. God said he would die if he ate that fruit. Later, Eve was fooled by Satan talking through a snake and eating fruit. Then she brought the fruit to Adam and he knew he was doing the wrong thing and he ate it. They began to experience spritual death. God has driven them out of the garden. Adam and Eve sinned by prioritizing their desires over what God had told them, and by doing so sin entered the world. Harvesting fruits is no longer easy. Thorns and Weeds make planting and harvesting a daunting task. Men have to work to eat. Women will give birth in pain. Animals have become dangerous.
