A possibility of getting shot is not on ur mind when ur in the moment. You step up and say ok I'm ready and if I die,I die.You don't quit and resign in order to live the life of cowardice.

When the war drums sound, it's my friends who going for a war, it's my friends who are going to put their life on the line.

The will to fight is will to die.If you put 18 yr old kid in a situation to kill someone and having the possibility of getting himself killed,it's a traumatic experience.

A Navy SEAL commander knows that he is leading his boys to the funeral but there is something that drives him from within.

You have to modulate leadership during businesses,you have to modulate leadership when ur doing anything.You need to understand that when ur guys need to be pushed and when ur guys need not to be pushed and give them rest.So,you are constantly doing that regardless of what team u r leading.If u r going to push ur guys too hard in combat,they are gonna break.  sometimes u realize that u must have given this guy a rest.Look at his face.You make mistakes all the time.No doubt.

You are not always gonna win and if u think that u always gonna win,u can't prepare better for that purpose.I respect the enemy absolutely.There is point during the war deployment that u have to use the certain skillset.Itvcan come once during deployment,it may not come during deployment or it will come daily.You never know what is going to happen.

Not respecting the enemy is again a lack in humility and it can get you killed.You have to respect enemy at all times.No matter what your mission is ur still dealing with human beings.Guys in ur team doesn't have to follow ur orders just because you outrank them.They are not robots.When I want to execute something,I want you to plan it.I am not going to plan it for you.

There are these thick skull hard headed guys,if u want something to do and u want it for u,how will you made them to do?You should make them think that they wanna do it, that's leadership.Another buzz word is accountability.Dont try and be like me.Be better than me.You have take extreme Ownership of everything you do.That is life.Make a force of will and make that happen.Make me look like a baby.These are great words by Jocko Willink during his interview.Thank You
