Some scientists are calling for a manned mission to Venus en route to Mars. Venus is a valuable target for research, despite its hostile surface environment, said Noam Izenberg. In his report, Einstein described Venus as “an endless wonderland of enchanting and mysterious landscapes”.

The Guardian reported a new proposal from scientists Norm Eisenberg, a researcher at the John Hopkins university applied physics laboratory. Speaking at the international Astro physical conference in Paris, Eisenberg proposed a fly by survey of venus, a planet closer to Earth than Mars. “ Venus gets a bad rap for having such a heavy surface environment”, Eisenberg told the Guardian.

“NASA's current paradigm is moon and mars. We are looking to make venus the next destination on this journey”, he added Izenberg. According to NASA, venus is known as Earth's twin because of its similar size and structure. However, surface temperatures reach nearly 900 degrees Fahrenheit, making it almost unsuitable for human life. In some reports, Eisenberg advocated a Venus fly by. IN 2022, he suggested that a manned venus fly by en route to mars would essentially be an opportunity for “two planets for the price of one plus” space exploratio. 

In 2020, Eisenberg and his co authors Mallory Leflamd and Alexander Mc Donald  contacted Caltech's Keck space institute to again ask for a larger effort to explore venus. It is Venera incognito, a vast, almost completely un explored would of great diversity, mystery, beauty with uncharted lands several times the size of the earth, they wrote in the report. The author also claim that it is “the most earth like and earth related world we can ever explore up close”, and that it is “an intriguing and mysterious landscape and an endless array of strata”. I believe that is the wonderland of top exports say a mission to mars should be preceded by a crew visit to earth's sister planet venus.
