Life
Rinku Singh is descended from a Jadoun Rajput family. He was born in an impoverished home as the third of five siblings to Khanchandra Singh, who worked in an LPG distribution firm. His early years were spent in a two-room flat near Aligarh Stadium in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, provided by his father's employment.
Career
Singh competed at the U-16, U-19, and U-23 levels for Uttar Pradesh, as well as the Central Zone at the U-19 level. In March 2014, he made his List A cricket debut for Uttar Pradesh at the age of 16, making 83 runs.He made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy on November 5, 2016.
He was Uttar Pradesh's leading run-scorer in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy group stage, scoring 803 runs in nine matches. He finished the competition with 953 runs in ten matches.
IPL
In February 2017, he was signed by the Kings XI Punjab club for the 2017 Indian Premier League.In the 2018 IPL auction, he was purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 80 lakh in January 2018.
Due to a knee injury, Rinku was forced to withdraw from the 2021 Indian Premier League and was replaced by Gurkeerat Singh Mann. In February 2022, he was purchased by the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League auction. In this year's competition, he got his first Man of the Match award, collecting a prize of one lakh for 42 runs in 23 balls with a strike rate of 182.61 against Rajasthan Royals.
