In this blog I want to share some information about mining, how dangerous it is so that you can think about it and do something about our environment 

Mining is the process where we take out the valuable items which we called them minerals and materials from the body of the earth which are deposited in the deeper layers of Earth. These minerals and metals like copper, lead, zinc, sand, gravel are used in our day to day life. Our precious metals like gold and silver, stones like diamond are also found in mines, mining has a bunch of negative impacts on our environment.

Types of mining underground and surface 

Underground mining is done to reach deep inside the surface of earth to find valuable minerals and metals, while surface mining is done on the ground levels. 

Till now I hope you understand what mining is, in simple words its the process of digging till you find what you are looking for, think how many mines are there in the world. We are just making crates on the surface of earth for our selfish reasons and harming mother earth in the process.

Effects of mining on our earth and environment 

Deforestation comes with cutting down the trees to clear the surface to dig into or far various other reasons.

Soil erosion happens when the soil goes away by natural processes like wind or rain also by mining.

Due to lack of biodiversity we are losing our fossil fuels. 

Few mines damage the soil and make it non usable. 

These are the few dangerous effects of mining which in future will impact our lives in such a way that we will not be able to find a solution for it, but our todays action can help us in controlling and delaying the impact. 

Solution for mining process

First and foremost is to shutdown the illegal mining

Reusing mining waste

Rehabilitating the mining sites, means we should plant trees 

Improving mining sustainability means there should be able to maintain ecological balance.

Lower impact mining technique, should use eco friendly equipment
