This story is all about breaking stereotype.

There was an old man in the village and he was the head of that village and villagers gave him the power to punish guilty because they believed him blindly as he was the most educated individual in the village. The old man was the kind of person who never supported inter-caste marriage and always punished them who wants a love marriage or inter-caste marriage, villagers too support his decision. He has a son and coincidently he too wanted a love marriage and he even loves a girl, his love was not only inter-cast but was of different religion he was Hindu his girlfriend is Muslim and he knew that his father will never favor his decision so one fine day they both ran from their village and settled themselves in the neighboring village. After 1 year they were blessed with a girl child. Now the girl is near 12 years.

On the other hand, the old man regretted his decisions as it took his son away from his so he used to visit a temple to pray to God that if any chance his son can come back to his life then he should come and event he was ready to accept their marriage and with this prayer he uses to sit in the temple for hours and hours but he was also noticing something unusual as a little girl used to visit for prayer to the temple and mosque which was near to temple alternate days. One day his curiosity rose so high that he approached that girl and asked her the matter and her religion he said” I have been noticing you for very long why you visited both the places? What is your religion?”

Then the girl says” daadu –how does my religion matters to my prayer? As we all know god is everywhere in some or the other form then how does this make any difference whether I pray to 33 million gods and goddesses or one ‘Allah’.

By the way, I do this because my father is a Hindu and my mother is a Muslim to honor my father's belief I come to the temple whereas to honor my mother's belief I go to the mosque, after all, they both respect their religion then why can’t I….”

after listening to her the old man only asks her father’s name and the reply she gave filled the old man’s eyes with tears as she was his granddaughter and he immediately hugs her………

And the story ends here…….
