HELLO FRIENDS,

I am back with my new blog which is something about ‘A GREAT PERSONALITY ’ - THE RATAN TATA SIR…. who is seeing as a heavenly creature on the Earth in today's era in all over the world….

Unfortunately, he is no more with us but his ideas , his motivation, his good deeds; everything will always remains in the hearts of every INDIAN..

NOW its to learn about something about RATAN TATA SIR…

BIRTH-

The full name of RATAN TATA was RATAN NAVAL TATA. He was born on 27th of December 1937 in MUMBAI. He was an Indian philanthropist and an industrialist. He was the  chairman of the famous ‘TATA GROUP’.Ratan Tata

FAMILY-

Ratan Tata was the son of ‘NAVAL TATA’ and ‘SOONI COMMISSARIAT’. When he was 10 years old their parents were separated . He was later adopted by his grandmother ‘NAVAJBAI TATA’ formally through an orphanage J.N PETIT PARSI ORPHNAGE. He had two younger brothers - JIMMY TATA and NEOL TATA. 

NEOL TATA was the half - brother of RATAN TATA. He was the son of NAVAL TATA and SIMONE TATA [ Second wife of NAVAL TATA and RATAN TATA's step mother].

He was belonged to a PARSI - ZOORASTARIAN FAMILY. His family had a India business lineage which has its roots in NAVSARI. GUJARAT.Ratan Tata's awards and achievements over the years

EDUCATION-

If we talk about RATAN TATA's EDUCATION-

His primary education was completed from the CHAMPION SCHOOL, MUMBAI till 8th standard.

His High school education was completed from the Cathedral and John Canon School , MUMBAI  and some education was done from the Bishop Cotton School, SHIMLA.

After that for his higher studies , he took admission in CORNELL UNIVERSITY, U.S.A. and then graduated from the bachelors degree in the field of  ‘ARCHITECTURE’ in the year 1959. 

From the ‘HAWARD BUSINESS SCHOOL’, U.S.A.,he completed an ADVANCED MANAGEMENT  PROGRAM IN 1975.

CAREER -

He started his journey from an architectural firm at LOS ANGELS where he got a job. He worked almost 2 years in this firm and after that he had moved back to INDIA due to some personal issues. His grandmother suddenly fell ill and after some time she passed away.

Continuing in his professional journey , after that he did internship in the TATA MOTORS at JAMSHEDPUR. He had to work in various department . he had sent from one department to another and finally he got placed in a TATA STEEL , where he was initially given the task of blast furnaces and and shovel limestone.

He had a great interest in the field of architecture. So he started designing homes for himself and for his mom. He pursued his interests by designing the homes.

He brought international fame to the Tata Group during his time as a Chairman from 1991-2012 and his role was instrumental in bringing many revolutionary reforms. He made the decision to make Tata Consultancy Services public and Tata Motors also got featured in the New York Stock Exchange which brought much global recognition to the Group. He went on to lead many successful ventures like the launch of Indica, and Nano as well as many historical mergers like Tata Motors with Land Rover Jaguar, Tata Tea with Tetley as well as Tata Steel with Corus. 

With the aim of uplifting the educational  level of India, Ratan Tata promised educational institutions to the country. The Tata family’s generous contributions to the educational institutioms of the country have set a remarkable example. He contributed very much  to the Indian education system as his grandfather also emphasized the importance of lifting up “the best and most gifted”. Some of the vibrant educational institutions by the Tata Group:

  • Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore
  • Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai
  • Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai
  • National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), Mumbai

Ratan Tata stood tall during 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks despite test of  resilience - India TodayDuring the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai, Ratan Tata showed an incredible example of generosity and compassion as he stood all alone outside the Taj Hotel and made sure that the victims were helped and given all the assistance. He also visited the families of around 80 employees who were injured or killed in the attack and years later, he remarked that though the city will never forget the scars of the horrendous event “we remain proud of the spirit and the sense of unity” showed by every individual. 

NET WORTH-

He had a net worth of 7,9OO CRORES at the time of his death according to the  HURUN INDIAN RICH LIST 2024. He donated a significant part of his wealth for the charity purpose. He was literally a kind hearted man and he will always live in the hearts of ours…

SUCESSOR-

NOEL TATA is chosen as the Successor of the TATA group who is the younger brother of RATA TATA. LOVE FOR ANIMALS-

RATAN TATA  was the great lover of the animals especially for the dogs. He spent a lot of money for the well being of the dogs. He has a dog named ‘GOA’ . He loved a lot his dog and created a different type of emotional relationship with his dog….

LAST BREATH-

He was died on -

9 October 2024 (age 86 years), Breach Candy Hospital Trust, Mumbai, due to some health issues .
