Bronze Bull: In seventeenth century there was a king named Phalaris. He loved seeing people suffer and to complete this fantasy of his he ordered a person named perillos from Athens to make a Bronze Bull. The bronze bull was pretty to look but it's construction and the purpose for which it was made was too scary. There was opening around it's belly in which people were kept and locked and a fire was put from below because of which people inside it would yell and scream and it was made in such a way that the smoke which was produced, came out of that Bronze Bull's ear. Some pipes were kept inside the bull which would turn the people's screams into a bull roar and this horrible sight would make the king feel extremely happy.
Pear of Anguish: This torture was a very common practice during mediaeval times. There was a pear shaped instrument in which a screw was fixed and Just as the screw was rotated the pear would expand into four petals. This pear shaped instrument was put inside a person's mouth and then the screw was rotated and since the four petals expands they were very sharp because of which it would rupture the cheeks of that person. In such a situation the victim could neither scream nor cry but can only see his blood flowing. This instrument was also used for those women who were doubted to be witches or whose miscarriage happened.
Skinning people( flaying): This was the most horrifying punishment ever meted out to anyone. This is still a very famous form of punishment in China and Britain but this has started way before it has been in practice since thirteenth century . Aztee's of Mesopotamia, Europe and many other countries used this punishment on their prisoners. Before starting the process of flaying human skin is softened because human skin is hard to cut. To soften the skin two methods are used, firstly the person is made to stand under the sun naked until his whole skin is burned, second method is the person is put in boiling water until his skin isn't softened . After this the skin is cut from the body part mostly from the thighs and then it is peeled off. The victim undergoing this punishment experiences extremely extricating pain and this punishment is not meant for death it's meant for extreme torture but the victim ultimately dies because of hypothermia.
