Wayanad is one of the major tourist spots situated in the Malabar region of Kerala. It's a green Paradise of Kerala and it's also known as the 'Ooty' of Kerala. It offers amazing panoramic beauty combined with the opportunity to witness wildlife because of it's untamed green cover. Although the climate is generally  consistent. 
The location is 76 kilometres from  Kozhikode’s seasoned. Wayanad is a captivating hill station. The lush flora, serene settings,   and mistcovered hills provide  tourists with an amazing experience 

         In earlier times, wayanad is known as 'Vayal Nadu ', which means the land of paddy fields. The term evolved into Wayanad through the usage of that word by the citizen. Wayanad is the only District in Kerala that share borders with both Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

Kurumbalakotta Hill Top

It's one of the most elegant viewpoints in wayanad. It is situated in kottathara panchayat, 20 kilometres west of Kalpetta. All adventurous people would like the challenging adventure of hill trekking. Outstanding views can be had from the hilltop. It is the only location in Wayanad where you can see nearly half of the district. A mesmerising view is provided by the city's abundant flora. This hill is situated in the centre of the Wayanad district. This hill provides a complete view of Wayanad. It's open 24 hours and the authorities do not charge any fee. 
 

En Ooru 


En Ooru is a tribal heritage village in the Pookode,Wayanad district that  exhibits the state's thriving tribal groups' culture and traditions.  A collection of traditional tribal huts with hay roofs that are surrounded by hills have grown to be a top tourist destination in the area. The centre,  which is spread out over 25 acres  on a hillock, offers us a magnificent urge to discover the history and the way of life of the tribal people.  
Private vehicles must park two kilometres away from the venue, thus a jeep service is offered to get you there. They will charge a customer 50 rupees for admission and 20 rules for a Jeep ride.   
Visit time: 10 am - 5 pm 
 

Kuruvadweep/kuruva Island 


Kuruva Island is one of the top sites to visit in Wayanad and should be on your list of things to see before you leave this world because of its abundant biodiversity. Both greenery        and a huge diversity of birds can find refuge on the island. Visitors who enjoy travelling, photography and wildlife exploration will find it satisfying and enlightening to visit this land.

Meenmutty Waterfalls

 
Meenmutty Waterfalls  is a breathtaking the three-tiered waterfall is one of the most ming tourist destinations in  Wayanad.
To observe the various tiers of this magnificent waterfall,  there are variously accessible 
separate decks. Meenmutty Falls' thundering waters are set amidst lush woodlands, which makes it a photographer's dream. From the highest point of the third tier of this waterfall,  visitors can marvel at a wonderful view of the Banasura Sagar Dam. Meenmutty Waterfalls is known as one of Wayanad's most exciting locations for adventure seekers due to its tremendous natural scenery.

Location: 5km away from Banasura Sagar Dam and 29 km from Kalpetta.
 

Karlad Lake 


Karlad lake is the second-largest freshwater lake in Kerala and is situated in Thariode, Wayanad. It's only 3km away from the Banasura Sagar Dam. It is an inglorious tourist spot in Wayanad. If you love to spend your vacation in a calm and quiet place this is your perfect destination.  Unlike other tourist places, it's usually an uncrowded spot. There is a little garden, children's park, zipline, boating, kayaking, rock climbing and zorbing. A spice and handicrafts shop is also present.  
Entry fee: Adult: 30 rupees, Children: 10 rupees
Timing:  9 am - 5 pm
