The family was sunk in deep slumber. Remorse and agony in the air - grief could be sensed... The wife who lost her husband was motionless - The white dress contrast to the broken red bangles, showed the absorptance of the happiness of the small colourful world of three. The setting sun took with it the only light which supported them all.
The child moved around playing with his bat searching for his father to throw the ball - repeated questions - Maa where is papa , Dadu when will papa come back from office , Dadi please call papa and ask .. An unwanted dark silence , tired watery eyes , parched throats , locked jaws all sunk in deep hurt emotions.
The rituals were over. Life started moving on again. The wife had to step out of the house as the soul earner of the abandoned family.
She joined her son's school as a teacher and started getting absorbed in her work trying to shake off the past strings which kept tangling her mind and heart. She struggled each day to give a new start but found herself failing in her attempt at the end of the day. In course of time she came across one of her college mates in the bazaar who also worked in a nearby tution class.
They started meeting often, hanging out, spending more time. Eventually she started falling in love with him and felt blessed to have found him. After the tragedy when she was torn apart with a broken heart - now she has a reason to live - a support to back her in worse situation. Again she could see a hope- a willingness to work hard, earn more and an urge for better living.
Her in-laws were happy with her decision- they could see the sparkle in her eyes and believed her just like her husband would have done.
Gradually arav, her friend started visiting her at home and became familiar with the entire family. Everyone seemed happy thereafter.
A year passed . Everything was perfect. Her son was doing good in his studies , her in-laws had also found new companions and were busy in their own world. She was enjoying her work.
One fine day arav arrived at her home. He proposed to woo her and accept her child and in-laws. She was overwhelmed. There could not be a better choice for her. Everyone agreed to his proposal and approved it. With consent from each one of them she accepted his approach with glee.
The day arrived when the two would tie their knot. Her son had planned a place for the occasion. They all started the journey and headed towards the venue. The groom was ahead on his bike. The site was a temple on a hill top. They had to cross a perilous rock edge cut bridge- one vehicle at a time. Arav directed to cross the bridge first. She was not ready, her mind was suddenly disturbed - she wanted to stop him from going there- she was confused-- an overloaded truck was seen coming from the other side- Arav was slowly heading towards it - he turned back to see his bride - that very moment, in fraction of seconds he lost his balance and fell down the cliff. The only thing she could see was the ever smiling face in front of her eyes....
