LGBTQIA still being taboo in our society, needs much attention and respect they deserve. Ironically, people in our society would believe in meaningless concepts of castism, racism, patriarchal society but they would refuse to believe the basic right of being a human, they would refuse to accept who you really are. The roots of illiteracy are so deeply engraved that stubbornness is normalized, and acceptance and understanding seem like a luxury.
No matter what people say, how everyone states the definition of being ‘normal’, always remember one thing, at the end of the day, it is all about YOU, and will always be about YOU. It feels unfair to fight for something as basic as our choice to live our lives, but sadly we need to, we have to.
LGBTQIA is a community, we are someone society label as outcasts or spiritually ill. We are living in the 21st century and if not now, how long are you planning to keep your eyes closed to the truth.
I find it very offensive when someone comes out, and people try to advise them to consult a doctor because they believe that this is an illness. Our sexual orientation is completely our choice and no one else has the right to take it away from us, neither should anyone try.
By only sharing the posts over different social media platforms does not make you any good, if you are still using terms like ‘gay’ or ‘lesbian’ as abuse. This is really high time when we as a society should open our eyes and broaden our rigid perspective.
History keeps the record of struggles, harshness and pain faced by the LGBTQIA community. It has taken years of courage to stand for their own right, the confidence to come out, the pride in accepting who they are, if not anything, as a human, we should respect each other's belief and values they hold. We all are different and the concept of ‘being normal’ is nothing but a myth, we need to stop believing in it.
Do not try to force upon the rigidity and blindness to someone's freedom and basic rights. To my precious LGBTQIA community, please stand up and take pride in who you are, even when no one stands with you, this is still your life, your one and only chance to live, please do not give up on it so easily.
Happy PRIDE month!
