G7 was established in 1975. In G7 the leader of the wealthiest nation put the issue on the table for discussion. Countries included in G7 are Canada, The USA, France, Italy, Germany, Japan & United Kingdom).
HISTORY
In 1973 due to the oil crisis, The USA took the initiative to form a western group and thus the first summit happened in 1975 in France. In the first summit of G7, there were only six countries so it was known as G6. Canda joined in 1976 and thus the G6 became G7. In 1997 after the G7 summit it was decided that Russia was also invited to the next meeting and thus in 1998 the G7 became G8.
In 2014 G8 again became G7 as Russia was removed from the G8 since it took over the Crimea Peninsula which was a part of Ukraine.
G7 2021
47th G7 summit is going to be held from 11-13 June 2021 in the U.K at Cornwall by The Prime Minister of the U.K Boris Jhonson. In the 2021 G7 summit the leader of the wealthiest nation is going to put the issue on the table such as Peace & Security, Climate Change and of course Coronavirus Pandemic.
Before the meeting, various 7 countries leader the Minister and Foreign Minister meet up and set the tone for the summit. On 3rd June U.K health Minister held a meeting with the Other Health Minister of g7 countries at Oxford University in England.
AGENDA FOR G7 2021
The theme for this year G7 summit is going to be "Build Back Better". The U.K has outlined 4 priorities area to recover from the Pandemic and those are-
Strengthening resilience against the future pandemic.
Promotion of future prosperity through free and fair trade.
Tackling climate change and preserving the planet's biodiversity.
Championing shared values and open societies.

The PM Boris Jhonson also invited world leaders from Australia, India, South Korea & South Africa to attend as a guest.
INDIA
PM Modi will attend the g7 Summit virtually on June 12 and June 13 due to the rise in covid-19 cases in India. this will be the 2nd time when Modi is participating inG7 summit. 1st was in 2019 when he was invited to the Biarritz summit under the French presidency.
