Following the failure of Acharya, Chiranjeevi has replicated the Malayalam movie Lucifer. This movie, under the title Godfather, debuted today. Let's check it out.

Story:

A state CM dies at the beginning of the movie. This leaves the important position available, and the son-in-law and daughter of the late CM, Jai (Satyadev) and Satya (Nayanthara), are in line to succeed as the CM. But Brahma (Chiranjeevi), another strong member of the party, joins in to prevent this from occurring. Who ultimately succeeds as the state's chief executive officer is the subject of the remaining portions of the narrative.

Plus Points:

Godfather is the official remake of the Malayalam hit Lucifer but director Mohan Raja has made good changes to suit the sensibilities of the Telugu audience. Mohan Raja has stayed true to the story and narrated the film in an engaging manner.

He did a fantastic job of showcasing Chiranjeevi. For all these years, Chiranjeevi has played parts that required a lot of energy, but in Godfather, he plays a wise politician and does a great job. Although Chiranjeevi doesn't speak much, he emotes well with his eyes. His admirers would like his screen presence and composed performance even if he cannot dance or make funny faces.

Mini Points:

Things in Godfather seem a little lacking in comparison to Lucifer's compelling storyline. Due to the lack of compelling narrative in the second half, it gets sluggish. That is the reason a music starts playing right before the pre-climax.

Additionally, Chiranjeevi appears a little stiff in a couple sequences at the film's conclusion. The second's feelings may have been expressed more strongly. Salman Khan's role appears opulent but is not adequately justified by the conclusion.

Technical Aspects:

Another benefit of the movie is Thaman, whose BGM significantly improves the action. The cameraman's use of color to highlight the political system is fantastic, and the production design is excellent. Both the dialogue and the editing were good.

Regarding the film's director, Mohan Raja, who is recognized as an expert in remakes, did a remarkable job. He expertly makes use of Chiranjeevi's elegance and allows his eyes to emote. Salman is a good addition to the mass aspects or alterations he makes.

Verdict:

Overall, Godfather is an excellent political thriller with a logical narration. The film's main strengths include a mature and older Chiranjeevi, strong performances by Satyadev and Nayanthara, and a hilarious Salman Khan cameo. Even if there is a little less drama than in the original Lucifer, fans and the general public are nonetheless having a good time this Dussehra since the boss is back.
