Reservation In India And My Way Of Looking At It

We do know that there are some differences in our societies, the differences that are made by the lecture from Portal educated to the uneducated, from the fair to the darker but the worst differentiation would be the one made by the higher Cast to the low cast. To solve this problem we came up with a Big Magic box, called the reservation. This is one brutal truth about our History. One good example is untouchability. But even after 75 years of our freedom, not only did this box opened up but is also continuing to grow. In the beginning of this reservation era there were only two categories that made their place in the box the scheduled caste and the scheduled tribe. But then came the Mandal commission, which was tasked to find out the remaining backward classes if any that existed in India. And then came one new category from our magic box called the OBC or the other backward classes. This news spread like a wildfire in India, some people also started protesting but importantly Students were a huge part of this protest were some also harmed themselves and take there own lives. Finally this news reached court and the court also accepted the OBC as one companion of the magic box members.  But at the same time the court also put a cap of 50% on caste based reservation in India. But the Magic box did not stop at the 50% cap on reservation because now in India we have another category called the EWS or the economically weaker sections. Now poverty and discrimination are reality of our society that we need to tackle, which will eventually help our country to become developed by bringing uniformity in our society but at the same time we should also consider the other reality that we only give a 40% chance to educational merit in India.

What is more important in today's world ? and what is more important for our country to become a developed country? All of these questions to come along when we talk about caste or creed. By making things equal and easy for the citizens there would be some kind of uniformity that we can restore in our country and eventually it will help in the upliftment of women and minorities. At the same time we might become a developed country. I hope this is what we all think of.

Thankyou 🌼
