…Not the easiest question to answer, especially when the learning environment seems so intimidating. The academic side of the college is arguably one of the biggest changes to adapt. Textbooks are not used for some loose pages. Reading is up to 30+ pages per night.
This looks like a lot of learning...
...but STAY CALM!
Here are some tips to make the whole learning process smoother and less fearful of studying.
Method 3: Preparing Your Body
Eat properly. The important thing is to eat, period. Being hungry during a test is distracting and exhausting. However, some foods can make you sleepy, so don't eat too early before the test.
Instead, make sure you're consuming a lean, protein-rich diet before you have to take the test.
Also, eating healthy food generally boosts brain power, so always eat healthy so you can learn throughout the school.

If I don't sleep, I can't concentrate because of the pressure! Make sure you go to bed early the night before the exam instead of staying up all night studying.
Either way, your brain cannot hold all this crammed information.
Go to your test with all of the calculators, pens, pencils, blank paper, and other supplies you might need.
Not having these things could mean you'll have a much harder time!

Being dehydrated during the exam can be distracting and affect your ability to think clearly.
Hydrate before the test and bring bottled water to the test as well.
If you're not used to drinking coffee, now is not the place to start. Try not to change anything in your basic routine the day before or the night of your test.
It can upset you.
Save yourself the hassle of wasting money on a last-minute greasy meal at the nearest burger joint.
Pack a snack to get you through the hours of grueling study sessions. I'm not saying bring a silver platter, a blender, a cutting board, and enough ingredients to feed 10 people.
All you need is a small bag of cereal, an apple, a homemade sandwich, and a refillable water bottle to flip through these 40+ pages of notes. At the very least, this saves you time, money, and from consuming foods that make you significantly fatter.

After all, these notes never read themselves. Study hard and take your time and go at your own pace.
You know yourself better than anyone else. When you study, you know your habits and preferences. That doesn't mean your way is the only way.
One of the tips above may be something you've never heard of. What's stopping you from trying it? I gave you some tips of my own, find your own as you read the book.
