Top 10 Shocking And Incredible Facts Of Human Brain

Nothing could be more exhausting than making a list of “what does our brain do?” Human brain is one of those essential organs of our body that keep us alive.

Despite the fact that it looks tiny, it can place The Eiffel Tower in its enormous amount of space. 65% of The US citizens believe that most humans can usually use only 10% of their brains which has been so helpful in inventing superb devices, examining 5% of the sea and clicking the picture of a ‘black hole’.

Technically, our brain is responsible for every outcome of our lives. The state of our mind changes steadily, after all about 100,000 chemical reactions happen every second in our brain.

Besides lectures there are some fantastic and staggering facts of human brain. Scroll down and enjoy.

10 - Don't get embarrassed, it's an essential process.

Many of us believe there is no need of yawn, since it puts us in trouble sometimes, especially when your chemistry teacher catches you red-handed doing this.

As a matter of fact no process in our body holds uselessness. Yawning is a kind of process that is handled by neurotransmitters in our brain. Due to this process our brain gets plenty of oxygen that helps it keep working even when it has no idea why it works.

9 - Babies learn 300 more words by the age of 2.

Mother’s voice is the very first voice heard by her child. In fact, when the babies rest in mother’s womb, they start recognizing mama’s voice.

Later on, that voice which has already become so familiar to infants can easily comfort them. Well, that’s not it!  children learn nearly 300 more words by the age of 2 due to their mothers’ habit of talking to the babies as the study says.

8 - Our memory becomes stronger while remembering old stories.

Every time when you try to remember something that you bumped into in your previous days, your memory gets stronger. It’s a sort of exercise that our brain does. In simple terms, the older the memory is, the better and stronger your memory power becomes.

7 – Humans' brain can light an electric bulb.

Other than requiring 20 watts of power our brain can generate nearly 23 watts of power that is probably sufficient to light an electric bulb.

All you need to have an adequate sleep so that your mind can get some needed rest which is crucial in order to build up proteins in your brain and maintain the power.

6 - When we dream our brain is more active.

That might sound stupid but our brain is really far active when we are breaking records in our dreams. Well that’s because trillions of nerve cells of our brain are literally rewiring themselves during our sleep. That’s the process which makes it one of the most active organs in our body when we are sleeping.

5 - Less demanding of our brain.

The fastest supercomputer of the world requires twenty four million watts of power in order to be operated. On the other hand human brain needs only twenty watts of power and it incredibly works about 100,000 times faster in comparison of a supercomputer.

4 - You might feel dizzy for a lifetime.

No doubt! It sounds fun to get drunk with your besties and love the way the alcohol makes things blurred. Generally, drunk people experience unsteady walk and slurred language.

A study claimed if a person drinks alcohol more than normal then things will get dizzy permanently even after you become sober. That’s because having too much alcohol creates memory issues and will directly assault your brain.

3 - That's why we love sleeping in our place.

Probably, everyone would have experienced that discomfort while sleeping in a new environment. Whenever a person finds himself/herself sleeping in a new place for the very first time, he/she can’t help feeling weird and possibly don’t get a proper sleep even after getting 10 goodnight wishes.

Well, that’s because our brain feels insecure and in order to be more aware it keeps us half awake the whole night.

2 – Poor dinosaurs could not make any invention.

When it comes to compare humans and dinosaurs then there is probably nothing that is similar in them besides both are animals, lol!. Well, 65 million years ago dinosaurs could not think the way humans can today and there are plenty of reasons for that.

‘Neocortex’ that humans use for thinking, dinosaurs didn’t have it. They even had not ‘Frontal Lobes’ that we use for solving problems or making plans. Such things kept them under the boundary of only ‘killing and eating’.

1 - The weight of your brain does not signify your wisdom.

That’s not a myth that the weight of brains for men (2.9 pounds) is more as compared to women (2.6 pounds), However that does not increase the intellectual power of men.

Actually, the weight of the brain has nothing to do with intelligence. The conflict ended when the weight of Albert Einstein’s brain ‘the wisest person ever on the planet’ was calculated 2.7 pounds that is clearly less than an average man’s brain.
