The Best Food Items Of Rajasthan

Hey there, today I read about a food blog. It was tasty to read as well 😂 . And why not feel the taste, we Rajasthanis are a little foodie. We like to eat spicy and delicious tangy flavored cuisines. My doctor has forbidden me to eat all these due to some health issues, but I can at least think and write about it and make you also feel the mouth-watering taste. Do let me know if you want the typically Rajasthani recipe for these dishes. 

  1. Gatte ki Sabzi: my mouth starts watering even thinking about it. A Rajasthani cuisine, Gatte ki sabzi is made with fried to steamed gram flour balls cooked in delicious and spicy curd gravy. It is eaten with Roti (Indian flatbread).
  2. Dal Bati Churma: Batis are balls made of wheat flour cooked on firewood. These are crispy on the outside and soft from the inside. Churma is a crushed Bati, doused with ghee and sugar or jaggery. Dal is made up of different types of pulses soaked and then made as a curry with delicious spicy flavors. The combination of these three altogether makes a delicious mouth-watering meal. A trip to Rajasthan will remain incomplete if you have not tasted it.
  3. Ker Sangri: a typical Rajasthani dish that is hard to find somewhere else as the ingredients of this dish are cultivated here in Rajasthan only. Kers are the beans of the Khejri tree, a state tree of Rajasthan. These ingredients are steamed together and then cooked with spices that give them a unique taste. It is served with Bajre ki roti. 
  4. Kadhi Kachori: A spicy, tangy, delicious dish and one of my favorite. Kadhi does not need any description to Indians. It is made everywhere in India. It is a soup made up of curd further thickened using gram flour and then cooked with delicious spices and most importantly curry leaves. Kachoris are puffballs deep-fried in oil and are filled with onion and boiled and mashed potatoes mixed with spices. The dish Kahi kachori is made by placing a Kachori into a plate, making a hole into it for the top, and overfilling it with Kahdi, garnishing it with chopped onion, tomatoes, bhujia, coriander leaves, etc. I can't hold the water in my mouth. 🤤.
  5. Mirchibada: Spicy fritters that make Jodhpur famous all over the country. These are deep-fried fritters, made with a big green chilly wrapped with mashed potato mixed with spices, it is then dipped into the raw soup of gram flour. It is served with green chutney or tomato sauce. Mirchibadas are so famous in Jodhpur that the people here wait for the rain, not to enjoy the weather but to enjoy the Mirchibada in that soothing weather. 

The list is loo long yet. I can write more than three blogs on it. But for now, you taste the flavors of these dishes. Will meet again with sweet dishes of my state.

WOW, a delicious blog. Indeed Rajastan is unique in its cuisine, culture, heritage, folk dance and etc. I am writing on food and life style, hope you will like it
