I did not always have a flair for writing but my love for English Literature somehow landed me up as a writer. I would not call myself a pro at writing but an average writer who is striving to improve every day.
After working with a website earlier as a content writer (completely work from home), where I used to review Netflix and Prime video shows, did some blogs, and wrote so many listicles. It was more like an internship but I had fun doing it. But I had to quit it in a year because of the excessive course work during my Masters.
After being done with masters I started my Ph.d in English Literature last year. I had not written anything for a long time when I came across this platform βCandlemonkβ. Candlemonk has given me my flair for writing back and I can't thank it enough. This platform has rarely any restrictions about writing, topics, lingo and etc.
But Candlemonk is something that does not offer a career so I started looking for jobs side by side. I applied through LinkedIn in at least hundreds of companies. It became such a tiring task to get a job that pays for the job it takes. Most of them were not willing to pay their content writers, I got very very flustered. I don't understand that such big companies, with great offices, are not willing to pay their employees and try to extract work out of them for free in the name of gaining experience. It felt so unfair and with each passing day, I was losing hope to get a proper job. As per the norms of society, people of my age should start earning and get settled.
Anyways, after going through various interviews and getting rejected so many times. My friend forwarded a content writer job mail and I applied for it then and there. On the same day, I received a call from them. Very unexpectedly I cleared all the interview and assignment rounds.
While writing this article I am sitting in my new office, it is my very first day here! I am the content writer of a company and handling their social media along. I always wanted to go to the office since I was a kid. I don't know what life has in store for me but it sure does looks interesting.
