Cartoons We Lost Over The Years.

Judge me all you want when I say I still watch cartoons. I am not letting the kid in me go anywhere. Some of my recent favorites are Shinchan and Doraemon. But these new age cartoons are nothing when compared to the ones in the 90s and the early 20s. They used to make all our afternoons so much fun. I am compiling a list of 5 cartoon shows that I think are a gem but over the years they have stopped telecasting them. (though I sometimes watch those on youtube)

  1. SCOOBY DOOBY DOO: Scooby-Doo (a dog) along with his friends used to solve so many horror/crime mysteries. It was better than ‘crime petrol’ for solving mysteries. The adventure they did together used to take us, kids, to some other world. We all wanted a dog like Scooby. And now all we need is a friend like Shaggy (Lol). Anyways, Scooby is still missed.

2. The Flintstones: This was such a great afternoon show. Set in the romanticized stone age, it was informative as well as fun. The Flintstones family had a pet dinosaur and a very weird car, these were some of the things I vaguely remember. It was very interesting to see them as kids. It is the second most financially successful show after the Simpsons.

3. Johnny Bravo: We have had cartoons based on the so-called ‘studs’ since the beginning and Johnny Bravo is the prime example of that. It was hilarious to see him fail on any efforts he made to look cool especially in front of girls. His hairstyle is to date one of the coolest I would say and his body is like a hunk, all pumped up. He sure was full of confidence.

4. Dexter's Laboratory: Oh this tiny genius is still missed. This little kid was making life-saving experiments in his secret lab. His elder sister DeeDee is another character that's remembered, she always used to wreck his experiments but never succeeded. But his real enemy was his elementary classmate Mandark. Their parents were clueless as to what their son was up to.

5. Power Puff Girls: Blossoms, Bubbles, and Buttercup are my favorite trio. These three little girls do everything in their power to protect the world. They are a perfect combination of innocence, cuteness, and smartness. Their main enemy was MOJO JOJO who is still loved very much. And as a little girl, I was very fascinated by them.

Some of you might wonder why didn't I mention ‘Tom and Jerry’ here because I can write a whole blog on that. So I know many of you might feel the same, do let me know in the comments.

After Reading this, I remembered oswald, Bob the Builder also. Nostalgic, that we lost all the good things as we are busy growing old. 🥲
