Did the title give you a heart ache or did it give you joy?
You are born and then you die, but in-between you can do anything you want. Its society that creates rules for us, but you can break out of it.
From our childhood death has been portrayed as a dark image. But I wonder whether it is dark. Why would it be dark? What good can come from meeting death with tears?
My soul knows and understands the smell and feel of death and is not petrified of it. But my conscious mind and body is taught to beware the darkness. The society has warned every new born about the brutality of death. In fact, while you read this, somewhere, someone must be spreading fear and darkness about death.
“Tuesdays with Morrie” a novel by Mitch Albom is a true story about Mitch's professor and friend an elderly gentleman named Morrie Schwartz who is on his death bed. Morrie's final days are spend by giving his former student Mitch his final lessons of life. I suggest you guys to read this book as its simply amazing the way Morrie deals with his expiry date. This book made me thinking “would I have regrets if I got paralyzed the next moment” . Many of us would screech and mourn for being a burden to the world, for not giving a helping hand to our old and weary parents and for not being thankful enough. Obviously no one is perfect and will never a live a life with zero regrets. But we can definitely be better humans by being conscious. We can definitely thank the world for the oxygen and plant some trees. We can definitely say I LOVE YOU to our beloved ones before its too late. Tuesdays with Morrie made me utilize my hands and legs for the betterment of the ones surrounding me. Actually I have used them way too much that I have become sluggish and ravenous.
Most importantly there are things that money cant buy. Monetary benefits and materials are fugitive, they disappear in no time. So make sure to spend time with humans who are on their death bed. I haven't got such an opportunity yet. But I sure will use it well when I get one. Keep in mind not to get terrified by the things they say as it might contradict what we were taught as kids.
In the last days humans get naked insight into the universe.
