Hey students i know you are here to know something new about centripital force but i am not sure that it is new or not for you but if you are new in this topic then i can say that today you surely understand this topic so without wasting our time let us start 😎
So i am not going to tell you bookish defination ,i am starting with my view
So When we move in circle our direction changes ,means velocity changes ,means there is an acceleration and if there is an acceleration then there must be a force .
NOTE : but reverse ( if there is a force then there must be a acceleration) is not always true as in case of a particle moving with speed of light mass varies but velocity is constant ,means momentum is changing (change in momentum is force) means there is force but no acceleration is present as velocity is constant so here is a force but no acceleration😥
Conclusion: in circular motion there is always a force needed .as we know acceleration Is towards center in circular motion means force is also towards center and this force is called centripital force. But centripital force is not a new force it is also a known force which starts acting like centripital force in circular motion .
Eg in case of rotation of earth around sun gravitational force acts like centripital force
In case of of motion of vehicle in a banked road friction force act as centripital force.
Let talk few things about centrifugal force:
• both centripital force and centrifugal force can never act in a same frame of reference. Let us understand this with an example of circular motion of a trolly in which a boy is sitting now if we ask a person standing outside the trolly about forces acting on the boy he will say, there is a centripital force . But if we ask the same thing to that boy he will say there is no force on me i am on rest !! How🤔 if two frames says different things for the same event then how newtons law's will be valid! So just to validate newtons law's our physicst's invented a pseudo force which act's on body when it is in a frame, moving in circular motion. this pseudo force is called centrifugal force .so i think now you are able to understand why both forces can not act in same frame of reference. Are you???🤔
