If you read any article or quote or affirmation you find quitting is synonymous to failure .
Many a times we tax ourselves on performing and keeping up with false positivity and makes us guilty if we think or consider quitting some thing.
It had caused emotional turmoil and effected the way we perceive our surrounding and wellbeing.
I myself realised this after lot of Struggle, false positivity and self doubt.
But that is not true….
Not always is quitting equal to failure. It can have different inference also, so never judge yourself and people around you
We need to be more open-minded and non-judgmental to get this concept internalised.
So let's see what else can quitting mean…It can mean…
That you are reconsidering your own decision and judgement. Which is part of the process of moving on and evolving
It can mean you are letting something go, so that you can have your own pace and space
Sometimes we change our mind and it is ok to do so. It can mean we are considering something else and looking at new perspective. So it's ok to quit to start something new.
Sometimes quitting is ok to protect your own self and your well-being.quitting can be part of your self care. Sometimes to heal you need to quit lot of old toxicity and negativity.
It can mean you are in transition phase where you are shifting your focus and redirecting your energies to something more productive and meaningful.
It can mean you have reached your limit and it's time to shift your efforts and before that you need a break to re-evaluate your priority and limits
There are so many things in our lives that matter and effect us, so we should not label our efforts as success or failure just because we decided to quit and look at things from a new view.
So quitting is not wrong ,not bad or not giving up, it is when we decide to choose wants over musts.
Quitting is taking responsibility to acknowledge that something is done and living life to the fullest.
Quitting is part of being human and acknowledging that our life is a journey and sometimes it's part of the process.
I had read somewhere:
“ Close some doors not because of pride, incapacity or arrogance, but simply because they no longer lead somewhere.”
That is so true that is why we need to accept that quitting is not failure and help our children also understand this, so that they can learn to move on and look at their crisis with different perspective.
So next time you decide to quit think and make a wise decision.
