The Grand Indian Wedding - Drama!

The core concept of Indian wedding is not about the relationship / consent between a bride and a groom, it is all about two different families meet, greet and enjoy with each other and they never mind whether the bride and groom are happy with their wedding. Apart from this, there is another major thing which we should voice out!

Spending all of the money and some even get loans to show off in the name of wedding!

This may sound offensive for few. But it is the worst reality, many of us don't even accept. Let me point out all the unnecessary things happen in an Indian wedding.

  • Bride / Groom search begins and ends with the family and not the choice of the bride or the groom.
  • In major, groom's family is considered superior and the bride's family inferior. They themselves accept this stupid misogyny.
  • It's not just wedding, there is Engagement, Haldi, Mehandi, Sangeet, Actual Wedding followed by number of superstitious rituals.
  • The base of Indian wedding is not the concern of the two people getting married, but Money is, it plays the vital role and if someone can't afford, they're considered as worthless people to even think of getting married. Can you understand, how stupid the Indian Society is.
  • Dowry is the dumbest thing ever which decides the respect of the bride and bride's family in our society. Some will directly ask for it and some will first act as if they're modern literate people and after engagement indirectly asks for it and sometimes they threaten the bride's family that they'll call-off the wedding. And the bride's family doesn't bother about the toxicity and fear for the society's talks and spend all of their property for such meaningless ‘so called’ wedding.
  • Before all these, searching a bride or groom is another dumbest thing. Bride's family expect a well-settled, rich groom. Whereas the groom's family expect a bride with lot of dowry and beautiful with multi-tasking nature and both search for same caste people.

Caste system can't be demolished until the end of Indian wedding system.

  • Some people who might be financially unstable or some might be stable who are literate and expect nothing, but it is very hard to find a bride/groom for such good and literate people.
  • Even after the wedding, the society won't let the couple to live their life on their own and always ask for ‘good news’.

There are lot more to point, but these are the major happenings all over the nation.

Instead, what we can follow.

  • Consent of bride or groom should be the core concept.
  • The real close and happy people for the bride and groom to get married should take part in the wedding.
  • Wedding should be simple and a one-day event with the money of bride and groom and not the money of their parents or relatives.
  • Bride and groom should move out from their parents house and start their new family separately without much drama.
  • They should be the decision makers of their life. They should decide when to have baby or not to have baby and must not bother about what the stupid society thinks.
  • They should save or invest the money for their future instead of spending it all for the grand wedding.
  • Selection of groom or bride should be free from caste, religion, beauty standards, money-mind and completely the decision should be in the hands of bride and groom.
  • Every individual should decide when to get married and whom to marry or to stay single for life-time and no other people including their parents should enter their nose into it.

Demolish Indian Wedding System / beliefs / superstitious rituals

And…

Let the future individuals live their life on their own peacefully
