The top actor in Indian cinema, Thalapathy Vijay, is a renowned philanthropist. He organised his fan clubs to create the nonprofit Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, which he utilises to carry out charitable activities. It was previously stated that he will recognise the top students in the 10th and 12th standards.
Today, Thalapathy Vijay planned a magnificent celebration in Chennai to honour the top students from all 234 Tamil Nadu constituencies. All of the students and their families had transportation, lodging, and meals arranged by the actor. Additionally, prizes worth Rs. 25,000, Rs. 15,000, and Rs. 10,000 will be given to the individuals who scored the first, second, and third highest marks.
About two crore rupees were graciously donated by Thalapathy Vijay to conduct the function for students. He set aside 40 lakhs for the venue's rental and paid for the students' and their parents' lodging when they travelled from outside Chennai. For the first time, an actor spent millions of dollars planning a special celebration for the students.
In Tamil Nadu, it may be stated that politics and film go hand in hand. The majority of Tamil Nadu's Chief Ministers hail from the film industry. Karunanidhi, MGR, and Jayalalitha are three people who gained notoriety in politics through the cinema business. Actor Vijay is attempting to establish a name for himself in politics in that way. Actor Vijay used to discuss politics at the releases of his new films' soundtracks. However, Vijay's political remarks during the student awards event have become a topic of discussion.
Additionally, Vijay has requested that the VMI volunteers refrain from erecting banners and flex boards in public areas. More information about this was provided by a VMI employee who spoke with portal DT Next. "The actor has asked us not to put up banners and flex boards in the public places to avoid public annoyance and unnecessary advertisement," he said. "The 'Meet and Greet' occasion is purely a student welfare event. He urged us to concentrate on the children and their guardians. The actor will present certificates and stipends to the top students on June 17. Additionally, the parents and students will be fed biryani.
According to reports, the meet & greet will begin at 9:00 am, and Vijay will arrive at the location at 9:30 am. According to the rumours, the actor will also give the students who have lost their parents financial support. A list of such students has been created and delivered to the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam headquarters.
