Keeping all my luggage down,I entered in a room with the nervousness, after all I was going to live for the first time away from my parents in the new city and the City was- Lucknow.
Luckily I came here with my two other school friends but that feeling of leaving home cannot be explained. we used to cry so much and usually in every 15 days I used to rush back to my city. Food was really horrible andwhenever we try to go outside we forget the pathways and usually we are lost in between different roads but thanks to the Google map that help us in reaching my hostl atleast at the end of the day!
First three months were really horrible for me. I had clashes with my own roommates, lost many times in the city with stomach empty and really it was so tough task living there. Clashes increased and finally I changed my hostel and it was just lifesaver for me. All the bad memories were turning in to good one. My roommate was really sweet and since she was from Gujarat I use to learn new cultures and traditions. All my floormates was so kind and good that I can't explain. I just enjoyed every little thing, learn new new cultures & traditions and new ways of living since everyone was from different cities, actually then I started exploring the city of nawabs….!!!!
All those streets of lovelane, scoops from Prakash kulfi, still remembering how we used to go on early morning walk in NBRI seeing all the plants there and beautiful nature. I still remember how we used to walk early in the morning at 5:00 a.m. 2 km just for a cup of a tea from Sharma Ji ki chai.
And the most toughest task was to get sign out at 8 p.m. from hostel run to narahi buying all the stuff again signing In again at 8:15 p.m. in the hostel….ohhh that was such a adventurous task for me. And you won't believe if I say that it was a distance of 2 km nearly.Such a good time manager we were..!!
I have to always insist my roommate to accompany me till Aminabad because she was very good at bargaining.! Because bargaining was one of the major constituent of Aminabad. We have almost explore the every Street of Hazratganj and every good place of Lucknow I still remember di living beside my room, how she and I used to walk just for momos about 6 to 7 km. She was the first senior who was just like elder sister to me and still in contact! Everyone was so good but now nobody is in contact, everyone mood moved away in different cities in different places and after few times no contact with each other. but she is only in contact with me till now and I wish to keep it lifetime.
After 1.5 years I also move to another city with a great farewell. I don't know about the academics but yes, I have learnt a lot of lessons of life in Lucknow which is going to help me forever. with some good memories I left Lucknow after moving in other city I realised that Hazratganj was not only the heart of Lucknow but somewhere it remained in me also, making its own place…which cannot be taken by any other City.
Now whenever I get a chance to visit Lucknow i never miss that and each time I enter city I have a big smile on my face and my heart screaming- “Muskuraiye aap Lucknow me hai..!!!”
