Today I'm going to tell you about my Parents. But before that let's go through a story.

Once Shiv and Devi Parvati decided to take a competition between Kartikeya and Ganesh. They told both of them to be ready in the morning. The next morning, all the Gods including Kartikeya and Ganesh were present at the place where the competition was going to be held (Kailash, the home of Devotees of Shiv and Devi Parvati). Everyone was excited for the same. After sometime, Shiv and Devi Parvati also arrived.

“You both have to complete four rounds of the world” Shiv said.

“Who reaches here first after completing this four rounds will win the race”.

Kartikeya immediately sat on his Vahana (vehicle) “Peacock” and started the race.

Ganesh on the other side was still standing there. Everyone was puzzled, why was he still standing. At the same, "Mooshak", vahana of Ganesh was baffled too. 

Here, Kartikeya completed his first round and he was too confused why he was unable to see Ganesh, where was he? This side Ganesh not even started to make rounds. Everyone was sure that Kartikeya will win. Suddenly, Ganesh asked Shiv and Devi Parvati to sit besides each other. Now, Everyone was getting curious what is Ganesh going to do. 

Ganesh simply folded his hand and made four round across his parents, Shiv and Devi Parvati. And said, My World Are My Parents. Kartikeya too completed his rounds and returned to Kailash. But the clear winner of this competition was Ganesh, who completed four rounds first and showed his love and gratitude towards his parents.

This was not only a story, It also teaches us that our parents are not less than the world to us. They are our backbone. They support us, encourage us, guide us. At times, they act as a shield to protect us from others. Yes, they often scold us, but it's for our betterment.

My Parents are too motivative. We are from an orthodox family. But yes, my father wasn't unhappy because he has 2 daughters. He is a Proud Father who says I have two daughters, and they are my heart. He didn't said that you two are my sons. Instead he said us, do what you want, I'm there. Yes, we have restrictions. But it's the protective side of my father.

My Mother was a working women. Now she is retired. In my childhood, she used to keep me in babysitting. That time I thought that why my mother don't come to say bye when we were in the bus leaving for picnic. My friend's mothers always came to leave them school. But, As I grew older, I came to know what difficulties she came across. She is a Hardworking women. I adore her.
